The pathfinding for AI in any Arma title has always required a year or two for all the nodes to get figured out. Play ANY new Arma3 community map for reference.

Don’t worry it’s not playable at all, for some reason all of these videos about the new update haven’t mentioned that Reforger has been down for the past two days, the servers are lagging like they are being ddossed, and since the update 90% of the time you get stuck on a “content verification” screen… I’m sure they will fix it soon but I just miss the days game devs would actually test updated before releasing them

@@cartergunter1898 oh well did I forget to also mention the fact that you could actually drive in the game without desyncing constantly into other vehicles before the medic update, but since the medic update vehicle lag has just gotten worse. Also the devs removed a feature that many players enjoyed called “brake boosting” which just made the slow ass trucks go faster uphill a harmless bug that ended up being very useful. I could honestly just keep listing things, I enjoy the game don’t get me wrong but I enjoy the game when it’s playable, and rather then ironing out the current bugs the devs just keep adding more and more things that create more problems and rather than fix them they just move on to the next thing.

@@PerkaholicFBThe ddosing has only been apparent on a few modded servers form what I know, it’s shut down servers I play on consistently at the same time for the last days. Now with the new update, modded servers have gotten all messed up and most hardly run (but i expected that)

The M60 has always been able to take out BTR crews, it was just a pain the ass to hit the very specific spot required to nail the driver and/or gunner. Yay for AP ammo.

Games last 3-6 house I'm sitting here with bags in my eyes addicted to the trenches the server I play on we had a game go for 24 hours I only missed a hour of it to eat and get more cigs I remember seeing people go to bed wake up hours later and get back on surprised the match was still going and I was still there

FYI you don't have to strap any wired contraption to your headset when using TrackIR, it comes with a passive metal cap clip which I use just fine, and it can be worn under headphones comfortably ;)

He also stated Toby eye track is superior (his opinion of course), but in really low light situations, it has issues. I tried it at a friend and it was just bad, with TrackIR i attach the IR device and no issues what so ever.

So i am totally into the resistance game mode!!! i just finished the game. 5 hours and 26 minutes in total!! wahahaa.... i did get the achivement of Paper Pusher (delivered enemy intel) and Clean Sweep (finish Comabt Ops with every task completed) that was sick!! i met 3 guys who where very communicating, and that was real nice. A good community!!

I hope they implemented AI supply chains in conflict servers, otherwise it's always the same 3 guys running supplies, and before saying it's OP, like a convoy every 15 minutes or something, enough to encourage ambushes and maintain basic supplies but not enough to make a base abundant, maybe have a supply count above which they cannot start a new run

The AI man im worried the AI dont follow after being recruited and im worried they dont listen/successfully complete the commands commands. They especially don't revive the player when down which i think is a necessity.

Unfortunately, the AI is still horrible. Its basically the same as in experimental build. Its not registering commands, ignores commands, does whatever it wants. Not even mentioning the pathfinding, its just horrendous.

ARMA REFORGER may be a stellar PC game, but for the Xbox… at this time - recommendation is on hold, indefinitely. That said,… The game was reminiscent of the Unreal mod back the 90s called Infiltration - it has the same look and feel(almost) except the maps are massively much larger. An aspect that was striking about Arma Reforger was the lighting aesthetics - its adaptation of the visual effects of the natural light in various environments. As a player moved through the forest, the light glistening through the various types of trees had a quite realistic ambience. The streams and ponds, again very well done, variable and stunning in their variable integration among the map environments. On the other hand, the buildings were - more or less boxes - similar shapes of varying degrees. The counter effect was that you could actually experience walking through a building’s entirety… exploring through the assortment of buildings came as an interesting and welcome surprise. Vehicle physics, all I can say is… “different“. Although, the helicopters performed as expected… and were quite fluidic in their movements - in a good way of course, the player game-play-interaction on the other hand, yeah… early 90ish. July, 2024

a feature with the match times spanning as long as it takes for the other team to win (without server crash causing restarts) i played a server for about 7 hours got off went to bed, woke up 8 hours later to find the match had been going since yesterday and didn’t end until the end of the next day, almost a 48 hour match

One thing I've learned from AI driving in ARMA proper, have them follow..... Not sure if that's available in Reforger or not, but you see much better results typically.

I wish they would add PVS7 night vision to the base game. They were issued starting in 88, and the game is set in 89. No reason we should have to use mods for NODS

The folks behind that mod already said nope for Reforger, but looking at Bohemia's interest on the (Evolution/Liberation) gamemode + the already existing "lite" version of it pretty much in as a default scenario, I don't see what else we can get until we get AI and more goodies in. It even has missions, patrols, checkpoints and multiple hideouts already counted in.

If I wasn't so damn poor, I would buy the game immediately :D Unfortunately, your idea of introducing a rank system for gear selection (like countless other games have) always has the problem that new players constantly have to compete against top-equipped players with simple weapons and equipment.

I made a comment about the horrendous ai pathfinding on Reforger Steam forum. I said something along the lines of "looks like the dude who torpedoed Carrier Command - Gaea Mission with horrible pathfinding is still working at Bohemia for some reason". A day later the comment was deleted and i got a warning that i'm "being disrespectful". There weren't any swear words, i didn't single out any specific person, yet i got a pre-ban warning. I guess we're heading into era when any negative feedback (no matter whether a jokey hyperbole or actual constructive criticism) is going to be considered "toxic". :-/

I got in a WILD firefight earlier with 30+ enemies with a BTR. They pinned us down in a building and maneuvered on us. We couldn’t shoot back because of the constant grenade launcher fire on the windows. We ended up having to deploy smoke and sneak out the back. Bring LAW rockets with you boys
