A new ESO gold farming strategy just dropped 🔥 Farming & selling LUMINOUS INK | Gold Road Guide

The Elder Scrolls Online’s Gold Road chapter has arrived, and players will be able to earn many new items by participating in and engaging with the content that comes with it! In this short ESO gold guide I will introduce the new Luminous Ink material - the crafting currency for the new scribing system! I'll also explain how to unlock luminous inks, and then share the best ways to go about farming luminous ink if you intend to sell this new material to other players.

Oh, thanks for that update. That is great, actually, so we don't have to necessarily spend all our time farming just to use the new Scribing. Will be interesting to see how this new mat prices out. Especially in the beginning. Guessing the farming mob spots are going to be crowded for the next few months after release. Always good content and insights Arttea.

just a funny thing abou what is happening right now basically every single npc in west weald is butchered due to the fact that the new stealabe furnishings cames from ANY npc regardless of the class. and resulted in everyone in skingrad now walking with empty trousers and corpses everywhere, literaly a horror movie become real

A point to ponder … very often the drop rate for new shinies in the game is relatively generous , and gets adjusted a bit later , which may keep the value somewhat.

While exploring/upgrading your recommendation of the Betnikh farming route, I received a luminous ink from a Wasp. LI does indeed drop from mobs!

I've only had one ink drop outside of the quests so far - still trying to get a gauge on how actually rare they are. This definitely will be a solid gold source for awhile either way. (btw: Always love your videos - super useful information and always very direct and to the point.)

Yeah they seem to be a fairly rare drop tbh, more rare than I thought they would be! Some gamers have shared that they've farmed materials or mobs for an hour or two and only received one ink! I have seen some folks ask the devs to increase the drop rates for luminous ink *because* of how rare they are to get, so we'll have to see if anything is done about that. If not, I think you're totally right, and that these will be a great source of gold for a while! And thanks - I'm glad you enjoy the vids :D

Thank you! And I don't believe I've seen any official material that suggests that luminous ink can or can not drop from surveys, but if I had to guess, I would say it is unlikely that they would drop from harvesting survey nodes, as those seem to be exempt from a lot of other kinds of "rules" that apply to regular nodes.

That's right - you will need to own the Gold Road chapter to access the Scribing questline and the luminary guardian quests that provide account-wide upgrades (like the one that lets inks drop).

I have no intrest in scribing. So i sold all of my inks from the quest at once for over 2.5 million on day one xbox release. Since then ive logged about 32 hours and ive found 2 inks

Does luminous ink drop for all characters as soon as you open them up with one toon.

Yes, as soon as you receive the account-wide upgrades from completing the mentioned quests, you’ll be able to obtain ink from the corresponding sources on any character that you play so long as it’s on the same account (and server- like PC NA)

Yes, luminous ink will not be able to drop from either source (mobs or material nodes) unless you complete the respective scribing quests (the indrik quest unlocks the ability to get ink from mobs, and the netch quest unlocks the ability for ink to drop from resource nodes).

Completely off topic: how on earth do you do that much damage @ 4:42? I thought all the combat stuff scaled? Never have I been able to one-shot anything in this game... even mudcrabs.

Ah in that farming clip I was running an old trial setup that I had from back when I used to run trials more regularly, so it's a setup with a lot of single-target damage that also provides me with a lot of crit, which compliments my nightblade class. If you're interested, I was running Relequen (trial set) & Kinras (dungeon set) with the vBRP bow and the vDSA bow (arena bows); it's not meta or anything nowadays, but it used to pack a punch. Sets that drop from trials in ESO typically allow you to do more damage than dungeon, overland, or crafted sets.

ngl yesterday i was farming nodes and mobs, about an hour each, not a single drop. this shit gonna be expensive to buy from guild traders if the drop rate is gonna be like Potent Nirn. so try to figure out how much you think you'll need and try to do the quests for it since each alt gives an additional 3 ink per wing questline. may the RNG Gods favor you, cause they hate me lmao

Arttea, since I know you the queen of ESO gold making, thought I would pass this idea to you. Since they changed the amount of time on the auction/mailbox, I was thinking about how to make the auction house better. If ZoS could give the option of two way an item could sell, it would breathe new life into the system. If they made it so you could have a bid price and a buyout price, then I think it would make sales fun again. Just a thought, maybe someone like you that has the ear of ZoS can pass it along?

The ink farming methods themselves (mobs and material nodes after completing the mentioned scribing quests) are actually still valid; they still work, but the value of a majority of items in the game has decreased, which is what you’re referring to, I think.
