So glad to see you back! You seriously had me rolling when you were talking abt The Unseen. I will NOT be picking that up. It sounds so weird and not in a fun way. I did pick up Monster of Elendhaven after you spoke abt it in your TBR video-it sounded interesting. And I started reading it after you DNF'd it. I wanted to see why. I havent finished it but I think there's a reason Johann is attracted to the older gentleman. [I can't remember his name.] I plan to finish it in the next few days bc I want to see if I'm right. I do agree that the language gets pretty archaic, it's sometimes hard to follow. Hopefully you have a more enjoyable month reading this month. I can't wait to see what you get into.

I made the mistake of reading Dead Inside this past weekend. I have no idea how I finished it, but it was the literary equivalent of hot garbage. 🤢 and then I looked up Chandler Morrison and thought “Oh, OKAY” because he just LOOKS like someone envisioned a douchebag author writing exactly that book, and then made him up to be just that. It might be the only book I’ve ever hated.
