First in the world to breed the twelve wired bird of paradise, only place other than the Philippines to have the critically endangered Philippines eagles, only place in the world where you can see all 3 remaining blue macaws: Hyacinth, Lear's and Spix macaws, first in the world to perform a reconstructive surgery to remove the cancerous tissue and replace the casque with a prosthetic one for the great pied hornbill Jary, first in the world to breed King Penguins in the tropics, only place to see the critically endangered Santa Cruz doves. Jurong Bird Park has set many world records. Stands as a testimony to the good air quality of Singapore while operating a wildlife park in the middle of Singapore's first industrial estate. Although it is sad to see them move from Jurong to Mandai, leaving behind magnificent old trees and so many fond memories filled with rich history and heritage, Jurong Bird Park definitely deserves a world-class new park. Go on and set more world records Jurong Bird Park!

This lot of "experts" that Xray'd + antibiotics + nebulizer + not wearing an N95 but face mask that is cigarette smoke through cheapo masks n changed daily $$$.~~how could e penguin survive?Their ignorance will not be corrected cos of pride, not bothered of realising that human n animals are n cannot be compatible medically. The air quality in e enclosure ( vs wild ) n e extreme temp tolerance that the penguin had to undergo is really cruel. The person /auto turning incubator by e entire team fm e curator + mgr+ keepers responsible for e well being of penguin's life ( weight monitoring , amt / way egg was turned, humidity n water content, no light shielding, etc ) may hv been deliberate for media n scientific write ups?! What a bad & in cruel way to care for a single life. Off course as e entire staff ( over paid & under worked )would say it's animal n not human life.(end of Part I).

Wavemaker The Philippine Eagle is from my birth country - the Philippines. Yes, moving 2 of these eagles to Singapore - the country where I live in - is most definitely a very good move and will help not only in Conservation but in increasing their highly-endangered numbers. SG’s world-famous “Jurong Bird Park” (named for its location - Jurong) is a multi-awarded Bird Conservation Park many times over including Asia’s and World’s Best. Have you ever been to this wonderful place? It is VAST, beautiful, and peaceful. Both Locals and Foreigners frequently visit. I have seen many and JBP is, by far, THE VERY BEST one. The birds are free to roam and fly, and the lab has a very high success rate for hatchings. The Philippines loves its Philippine Eagle - the only monkey-eating eagle in the world - hence why they want to preserve its numbers. Back in the PH they have successfully hatched a few eaglets, a very proud achievement given the meagre resources, but due to finances, improving conservation is a very tough climb. I am extremely happy that this very rare, precious-to-the-world eagle is now part of Singapore’s conservation efforts. All Filipinos who love their National Bird wish SG’s Jurong Bird Park research & breeding program much success. You cannot fake this type of dedication. Their high success rate & awards speak for itself.

When friends come to visit Singapore, this is one of my favorite places to go. Being there for 20, 30 times?

Oh I really love Singapore!! How you take care of nature is amazing!! We were just there last mid August 2022. Sad that weren't able to visit Jurong Park due to limited VL days of my daughter. Will come back for sure😊♥️
