Ingredients
7 oz cabbage
1/3 carrot
7 oz pork
half an onion
a handful of chives
7 oz boiled glass noodles
1 1/2T soy sauce
1T sugar
1T sesame oil
3 cloves of garlic
rice papers
a bit of salt and pepper

Would you clarify for me . Did you say you like it better double double wrapped or single wrapped texture better? I loved this video and the way you cook, thank you

@@gwanmaShe said we can make it with two wrapped papers, because it might brake sometimes, but she prefers just a single paper wrap for the texture. That it will be up tu you, it depends on how you like to do it. Try with one and you see, if it brakes, try it wrapping it with two.😊

This looks amazing! For someone who is a celiac(cannot eat wheat products) I’m grateful. I’ve often joked that I will fly anywhere in the world if I could find a gluten free dim sum restaurant. I miss dumplings and bao and all dim sum things so much!

This looks tasty and gluten-free free is great but I don’t want to eat dead animals. Can tofu or something else substitute?

@@mrscpc1918 Instead of meat, it's also delicious with tofu. If you want to add tofu, make sure to drain the water out. You can also fry the tofu in a pan to remove some moisture before using it. Hope this works for you. Thank you!

Me too Karen, out of all the things I miss being celiac, its not being able to eat dumplings dim sims and spring rolls I thought I’d never be able to eat them again. It’s it’s not the real deal but it’s close enough. 😉

Thank you for reshowing how to put the filling in the rice paper. I noticed during your second time doing it that you put the filling closer to the end that you're first going to fold over. That's probably a very important step. Rather than putting it in the middle of the rice paper circle.

The texture is not good when cold but they reheat really nicely in the oven. Actually personally I like putting them in the oven for a few minutes after frying, so the rice paper dries further and becomes even more crunchy. Try it.

I am a mom of twins, so I am not sure if I'll be able to get the opportunity to eat them hot...you reheat them in the oven, not the microwave, right?

@@roadhouse_blues8081 Yes. If you reheat them in the microwave they'll become a soggy mess. Put them on some parchment in the oven in high for like eight mins, flip them and another three minutes or until the surface is crispy.

Thank you for this recipe. You mention that the rice paper dumplings are not good cold. I like to take leftover rice paper dumplings, slice them up, refry them in a pan and add scrambled eggs. A great breakfast

Thank you, these are such a quick and tasty dumpling option... only minus the shredded animal muscle for me, I used tofu instead! I also try to minimize oil so I prefer to spritz them lightly and air fry. “My body will not be a tomb for other creatures.” - Leonardo da Vinci

Thank you. I love egg rolls - both the Chinese and Viet Namese varieties. But living in Hungary I'm not able to get it in a restaurant and the one or two places that do have what I like are outrageously priced. SO - I've been trying many recipes to duplicate this dish as it does not appear to be rocket science but merely needs lots of practice. I'm in. Thank you.

@@chungskfood Quite agree - for some reason what they have available at most places are a greasy 'envelope' not an roll. I did prepare these this afternoon - they were easy and VERY TASTY. 10 rolls of the batch - ate 7 and I'm looking at the leftover 3 - but I think I'll save it for romorrow. :) Lived in the US before becoming an expat - and LOVED the Asian food choices there.

Chung in the warm water where you dip the rice papers in ...add some sugar and it will make it crispy and golden when frying !!!!

If you don't put too much filling, the rice paper won't tear. Using one rice paper sheet instead of two seems to give a better texture.😊👍

Oh wow. I actually bought rice paper wrappers last week! Super excited to make these. Could I make a batch of these and freeze some once they're wrapped but, before l fry them?

So great to hear that! I wouldn't recommend making many rice paper dumplings in advance. It's best to make just the amount you'll eat at once. They taste great when eaten right away, but the rice paper is thin, so the texture isn't as good when eaten later. Hope this works. Happy cooking!😊👍

I'm a bit disabled so, l prefer to make full quantities of anything l make, then, freeze some for later cos, the original effort is the same but, the freezer meal is a bonus. That said, l think the best thing to do will be make the mix, freeze some of that then, wrap them when l'm ready to eat them. 🙂

Hi! thank you for the recipe! it's very easy to follow. I had two challenges that I faced: first, with the frying of the dumplings, because they tend to stick to each other and even to the spatula, so I was wondering what kind of material should the spatula be so they wouldn't stick. The other challenge that I had was that they tend to break, so I'm going to try to wrap a second sheet of paper and see how that goes! Thank you again! ❤😊

Thank you for finding the recipe easy to follow. Regarding your questions, first, to prevent the dumplings from sticking together, make sure to space them out while cooking. If they stick to the spatula, try lightly oiling it. If the dumpling wrappers burst, wrapping them in two layers of rice paper might help. Thank you for the good question! Regular dumplings can be made by spraying some oil and cooking them in an air fryer. Honestly, I haven't tried making rice paper dumplings in an air fryer before, so it's hard for me to give you an exact answer. Sorry!

Awesome recipe! I will have to try it. Very similar to Filipino lumpia…but I love the glass noodles and rice paper! When I was in Itaewon I had a bulgogi soup that was amazing..I just found your channel so I’ll go through all your videos and hopefully….I’ll find a soup.
