Do you think the LFG System needs an overhaul, why or why not?

Im praying for something to happen to this game like this and more, but I'm not sure if actually helping players is at their focus or ever has been :/. Welcome back Nova too!

like others have said in the comments, an easier idea would be to just have a game wide zone/lfg chat, but even that at an early point players would just mute it because of how flooded it would be. I like the idea of a new lfg

FIRST! and yes it does need an overhaul i use to play tera and never had a shortage of finding groups, and creating them. Unlike here in neverwinter it's so biased and self centered, though i feel like this new LFG would give the elitst players more of a reason to be elite.. I think it would help the players below them even more. Since the elite trashcans play with other elite trashcans, this shouldnt effect them. But for someone like me, who's not really end game end game, this is a beautiful idea, and would probably help me make more friends and meet new people here. good idea, good video. love you nova

I agree that a new system like this would be much better but alas the real issue is lack of people playing tanks and healers. Years ago (pre mod 16) the queue system worked fine because the game population was big enough you could rum almost anything at anytime in a generic PUG. And quite frankly healers and tanks, although very nice to have, were not always as critical for finishing the run as they are now. Many people who run tanks/healers do them as non-mains just so they have access to queues they would not have otherwise. But they used them to get access to materials/gear they could also use on their mains (DPS). Sadly. the last few mods the devs have made it much more difficult to gear up your other toons this way by BtC on pickup and locking out access to other class options. So these people have no motivation to play tanks/healers now. And for those who actually run tanks/healers as mains, the SP content for new mods has become much more difficult to run. I can't tell you how many tanks and healers quit Northdark way before completing the mod because they couldn't get credit in certain HE's for not doing enough damage. Everything in the SP stuff is designed for DPS and those running other have a hard time even if they have a DPS loadout. And add in the issue with so many guilds going silent due to low game population even if you have a guild it's getting hard for many players (esp newer and mid-level) to find anyone to train or run with at all.

I'd say they need to rework the random queue system first but as there's little to no chance of that happening can't see them reworking lfg window anytime soon

They should copy the same LFG of WoW, you dont need to type on chat, only research on the tab of group that LFM, and accept Who you want at the end

Nova i think the LFG idea is a good one 👍 Id like to see that extended to heroics where you are screwed if you can’t change instances due to their being full.

They are trying to fix the companions to be somewhat even and working on new mods just seems like this would take away from other stuff they are wofking on , sounds great and all just prefer other stuff get fixed and done first

A simpler idea would be to make the lfg chat global so that you don't have to be in PE to find a group and can just look for a group while doing other stuff like your campaign quests.

But wait, that makes since, it would work, and that is why Cryptic would never do anything like that, it goes against their business model..

New player here. I've been playing for about 2 weeks. I'm at 43k power after mostly figuring out everything myself. So far this game really feels like it's actively trying to keep you from lfg-ing with other people. That chat screen and /lfg stuff is a confusing mess with a horrible interface. When you see someone post for something there's no "join group" function that i can see, and the social screen is not helpful for joining queues at all. There should be a big update to include a tutorial with narration for how the queues work along with a better queue system overall. The game gives off a huge aura of "you should already be familiar with this system" in so many aspects of the game that it's confusing. I should never have to look up a guide to figure out how a game's core systems work. That's the game's job. Also, would it kill them to have a glossary screen to figure out what the hell everything means and how different game systems interact? How the hell is a new player really suppose to understand how gear score works with the percentage? I'm at 43k item level and 31k power. If i put on 10 boon points worth of power (1% power increase per 5 levels) my power doesn't go up at all. I'm doing damn equations to figure this out and still feel like an idiot....

cryptic are too greedy to do anything right look at vallanhas where you from that tree bug shit for so many years and and the loot is shit and the grind is unreal and the list goes on but yes i agree if they added the LFG SYSTEM it would make things more easer but they wont cuz how they made this they wont players to stuggle and spend more money on ITEM LVL
