Megumi ishitani is amazing, the way she switch one scene to another, The way she present the story, she doesn't just follow the manga, She goes beyond the manga, the little detail like Oden running towards Onigashima. I just hope Toei gives more episodes to Megumi in future.

Ep. 982 is one of the best episode in the series along side with 1015 and it's directed by the one and only Megumi ishitani, she's been doing god tier work for One Piece, these episode are great not just because of the fight scene but you can clearly see how the story structure and how it's flow with the transition better that all the episode of One Piece thus far. People tend to goes with the fighting episode where they usually look good in just a certain part but these are better in everyway you can literally feel more emotional from just Luffy's movement and line delivery and the interection of the strawhat also feel natural like it's a movie quality episodes.

The beauty of EP 982 aside, I wanna point out how unassuming Brook is. Of the fighters who conquered the Torii gate, only he, Franky, and Zoro have no public background or personal renown. Luffy is obviously globally recognized, Sanji is now known as part of the Vinsmoke family, Jimbei is a former Warlord, Robin is the sole survivor of the Ohara incident. On another hand, both Zoro and Franky were very much involved during Enies Lobby where they declared war against the World Government and fought for the liberation of Dressrosa against a Warlord. Even during Dressrosa, he wasn't part of the crew that stayed and usurped Doflamingo. Nobody knows that this crusty-ass, milk-powered skeleton actually survived fighting an Emperor of the Sea by himself during which he also rizzed her up, stole her poneglyphs and then lived to ask for panties to this day. Of course he'd be chill when surrounded by rank and file pirates. They were not a threat to him at the very least.

Im up to date but for me this was one of my top episodes in the show. mannn when I watched it, I had a flash back when we see luffy break out that barrel and I said to myself what a fucking ride we are on the most drastic change in animation to a show without a reboot being involved.

And that Jimbei betraying the Straw Hats is just THAT...a THEORY....These same conspiracy theorists ( air quotes ) also claimed that Zoro would leave the crew after he finds out what Sanji did to Luffy at WCI....Which was also a STUPID THEORY as well.
