These guys usually impress me with what they accomplish in relatively crude working conditions. We are accustomed to clean factories and polished machines, so we forget why other peoples are so resilient when we send our military all over the world. I enjoy these videos because it shows how America used to be when we had to make do with what we had. Human creativity and tenacity should not be underestimated.

Por lo que veo hicistes un calce con trozo de hojas de elásticos en reconstrucción de pieza de maquinaria vial, y lo que le estabas haciendo esos cordones en forma de.rombo, lo llamamos malla de.red y se les hace con electrodo de alta dureza de 52 hrc para prolongar la vida útil de la pieza. 👌

Having grown up around a bunch of farm welders with no formal training, I’m convinced that whether or not the operator thinks it will work factors into how strong the weld is.

Welding in sandals. These guys should take better care of themselves. I’m pretty sure they can add a few cents onto each job get themselves some proper PPE

6013 on a loader bucket. Hmmm.... They made the teeth so they had to notch the cutting edge. First time I've seen that. Oh well

I wouldn't be mad about those teeth their nit harden steel the front plate added that digs into the ground id will not take a fair amount of work

Thick mild plate, hard faced to a 25 pound billet has to count for something.😅

I’m going to guess that this is low grade steel that doesn’t wear like cast teeth that other companies use.

The core might be hardox, which would be tough, but I would be more inclined to think it's all mild steel. Whatever it is, they did an impressive job with limited resources

For the surface they have used spring steel ,from a leaf spring, the right and cheap material for the job. What they have welded on, must be some kind of wear shield . Not for real hard rock, this welded on spring steel is brittle , you cannot weld a coil spring like this

The new “made in china” the Chinese now have steel toe boots and factories. India has some catching up to do. All jokes aside, they did a good job with what they have.
