Very efficient process. That elbow with the hole drilled through it was particularly creative. Great work, I will definitely incorporate these methods in my application.

Man, we want to see the lint!!!

I recommend from the outside. You can visually tell when it's clean because it will go from lint to dust to air. When just air while you brush it's clean. You will do more passes from the inside to get it clean like 6-10 vs. 2-3 from the outside. Confirmed with sewer camera. What's more is You don't have to retape and do flex lines and move the dryer because it is already done. You will save a lot of time and effort going from the outside. I only go from the inside if the roof is hard or unaccessable to get to.

Alternatively, if you clean it from the inside, you can manually guide the brush all the way through and clean it as you retract it back.

What lol obviously we clean the whole vent?
@donlee4238 Жыл бұрын
@@dryerventcleaningde I didn't mean to imply that you don't clean the whole vent, I am sure you do. What I meant was that if you clean the vents from the inside, you won't have to deal with the hassle of using a ladder for second-story or roof vents. Please understand that I am not criticizing or attacking you in any way.

@@donlee4238 haha all good I was just confused. We’ll clean from the inside in rare circumstances like relatively inaccessible outside vents like on 3rd floors or insanely steep roofs. But ya I agree 🤙🏻

Been doing it like that for years with a little grate I got years ago from a lint eater kit. I use air mostly but it sure is nice to be able to just let it fly through full send without having to listen or measure to get 100% to the end

How do you know when to do it inside or outside

That "transition hose" should be thrown in the garbage. It is the #1 reason for build up in the pipe. It should be hard pipe the entire way with a 90 deg elbow at the bottom. If cut properly it can be pushed on as the dryer is moved back against the wall. Flex pipe, yes even foil flex is the main reason for dryer vent fires.

Why don’t the yanks just vent a drier straight through the wall behind it?

Because that's a foundation wall. It's in the basement.

Never use foil flexible venting. Fire hazard. Hard on the dryer. See tag on back of dryer.

Disagree. Flex is way better and used it for years with 0 issues.

@@wwfera00 Read the tag on the product. Call your local fire chief and ask him about foil venting. You have been doing it wrong for years. All it takes is to read. Become a professional and do it right
