Decreasing Rx opioids for patients that need them creates an epidemic of under-treated pain. People are dying from black market fentanyl poison. Chronic pain patients are being abandoned, forced to the street, or unaliving themselves

Spot on, I was about to commit homicide and suicide when I couldn’t get a script for 14 months after a back surgery that left me in horrific pain. Luckily I found a doctor with a history of back surgery and he has been very helpful with properly medicating my pain, as well as helping me with the mental aspects of living with it. I fear getting a new doctor when I move tho.

My cousin has scoliosis and has been taking aphrias cbd pills for her back pain. She claims its saved her life, if fact she noticed how unbearable her pain is when she stops for a brief period. She does not smoke cannabis. I hope in Canada we get a DIN so that she doesn’t need to pay out of pocket.

It’s not black and white. I live in a state cannabis is illegal, can’t get a prescription for it either, so pain medicine is the only thing that works, regardless of studies that show that people who use cannabis with chronic pain take 50% less pain medication. But If we here in my state consume cannabis, we give a dirty urine, we lose our pain medication. And here they are trying to take medication away? No. This is why people end up on street opioids/ heroin, and die from fentanyl. The medical system in America is always years behind what’s hip, but if you come to a doctor and know what you’re talking about, they call you a drug seeker. Ridiculous. We pain patients should be able to say what we need/ what works for us.
