As the last rays of evening sun begin to disappear on TPD headquarters, it was time for the gang task force to go out on patrol.
On Thursday evening, the task force's 25 officers made stops on the east side and in central Toledo -- the areas of town that the task force's research shows are hot spots for crime.
WTOL 11 went with them Thursday for a ride-along to understand their work combating gang-related violence in Toledo.

Honestly I've been pulled over multiple times. Got my stuff taken care of, but while living out my car had multiple driving without license because they just kept letting me go saying take care of it knowing my situation till eventually it caught up with me and I was forced to take care of it overall nothing but positive experience with tpd

I thought traffic offenses require a marked unit to make a stop. Any motor vehicle used by a member of the state highway patrol or by any other peace officer, while said officer is on duty for the purpose of enforcing the motor vehicle or traffic laws of this state, provided the offense is punishable as a misdemeanor, shall be marked in some distinctive manner or color and shall be equipped with, but need not necessarily have in operation at all times, at least one flashing, oscillating, or rotating colored light mounted outside on top of the vehicle.

They ain't slowing and stopn sht it's it least 3 murders a week sometimes more focus on less traffic stops and solve more murders so families can have closer and get these bad guys off the street tpd not good at that 💯🤔
