What would you do with a Lotus Evora GT for a day? If your name is Larry Chen, it’s a no brainer. You hit up all your favorite photo locations in downtown Los Angeles, then use it to scout new locations. All while squeezing in some supercharged braps wherever possible.

Once you get a nice set of headers on then they do about 280 wheel with a broad power band.

Well... it's the same engine but Lotus use their own ECU and tunes. Same with the Elise and Exige. Also they don't have as tight emissions (or noise) limitations on them due to being a low volume manufacturer. Which means they can make the engine breathe better and get more power from it than Toyota. These engines feel WAY more responsive on the Lotuses, they don't feel the same at all.

I have special appreciation to a car photographer as good as Larry to take me on his daily shooting routine. I am no photographer but likes shooting cars with cool lighting and background. DT LA does sounds sketchy I imagine doing solo shooting in Shanghai would be better in that aspect

0:49 location is on the Park Row Dr bridge over the 110 freeway (near Dodger's stadium), it took me a while to find the location so I'm posting it to make it worthwhile and to save for myself for future exploration lol 8:25 is N Myer's St. Search "DT VIEW" on google maps and it'll pop up

Citizen Four 911 is more $$. And the Evora is a better driver’s car than a modern 911 with electric steering and Turbos. Plus it’s rarer.

I new a girl who's sister had a Lotus Elise and it wasn't the fastest car because it was only a 4 cylinder turbo but she got hers from a guy who used to track it so it had a few engine mods and alot of suspension and brake upgrades and it was a blast to drive, being a mid engine you could take the sharpest turns as fast as you had the balls to go

If Toyota only believed in their own engines....this engine should have been in the A90. The Evora is one of my favorite cars. The exhaust note is phenomenal and it comes in manual. Toyota should have gone back to their MK2 Supra roots and built the A90 together with Lotus, instead of letting BMW build it

toyota already makes a 3.5l twin turbo for the lexus ls500, its a good engine too but the supra is inline 6 not v6

@@idokwatcher2062 with the way people put the 2j on a pedestal, i doubt the whining will be less on a v6 compared to a bmw i-6. From what I've read, it basically boils down to purists wanting a 2j in a new body, which is already unlikely.
