A Perfect 2 Days in Ranong Thailand Travel and Food Guide

RANONG, THAILAND - The small town of Ranong in Southern Thailand is not on most people's Thailand itinerary. However, in this video, I spent 24 hours exploring this hidden gem of a province. I start with delicious Thai muslim food for breakfast. Roti and beef massaman. Then I go to see the 100 year old house and Rattana Rangsan Palace, one of the more interesting things to do in Ranong. After that, I jump on the motorcycle and ride outside or Ranong Town. Just just love being on the motorcycle in Southern Thailand. I stop off at Phu Khao Ya, a mysteriously treeless, grassy hill popular for picnics & kite-flying with panoramic mountain vistas. It gives me strong vibes of England. Next up, I ride back to town to see the Ranong Hot Springs. I choose Raksa Warin Hot Spring, the best hot spring in Ranong. It really is stunning and the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Finally, after a long day, it is time for some Thai street food for dinner and a wonderful little hidden restaurant in town.

....actually chicken feets are a delicacy i realised when i eated it for the first time, - mmmh, you show how super tasty your dishes are, (i`m envious lol !), Thaifood is always exciting 🤗

Hey Joe, wonderful video in and around Ranong, -one of my fav. places with delish food you find on non touristy places such you showed with your mouth watering breakfast😋in the beginning. I was 2020 the last time in Ranong and we crossed the border to Myanmar and travelled up all the way north...... Thanks for bringing us along with you, south TH is awesome !👍🙏

The Temple at the base of the hill with steps to the top is awesome. Bells and a shrine at the top of course. Climbed them last year. 13:29

Those chicken feet look so tender, I am going to stew some today. Ranong is a quaint province. The hot springs look good for sore muscles. Wish you could have soak in it, Joe.

I love chicken feet Panna and these might just be the best I’ve had. Same with the khao kha moo. She was just so good at balancing the sauce. I might have had a couple of hard boiled eggs if I had stayed in there too long. It was a great province though that’s for sure

There is a line that local explain about the weather of Ranong is “rainy8, sunny4” which mean rainy season in Ranong is 8 months and sunny 4 months in one year.

Loved the first Governor's family home, I spent 2 days in Penang but didn't appreciate it when I was there. As I have a good friend from Malaysia I really appreciate the Muslim food, was wanting to sing the sounds of music, looks more like Switzerland than England.

You’ll need to go back, Penang is amazing and food is incredible. Ah yeah, I’ve not been to Switzerland though. Maybe Welsh Valleys is a better comparison for me

It is worth the trouble eating, sucking, gnawing on those feet, the collagen from them will keep your skin firm a lot longer. See how Joe's gorgeous skin looks?
