In 1820 the church was emitting only the tiniest hint of light in New Zealand. It had to travel far. Were I alive then, it would be 34 years in the future that the first missionaries arrived, and they were hundreds of miles away in Auckland, whence one would travel on foot - a most dangerous journey. Maori tribes were constantly at war with each other; were I there then I would have been afraid for the lives of my family, friends and myself. There were still tohunga who taught of a light from far off which would eventually arrive. Would I have survived to see it? But the Lord has blessed me to be here 200 years later, to listen to Elder Holland speaking of the True Light, the true gospel of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

The more i listen to elder Holland the more I hope for a better world what a beautiful talk this is and what a great man he is truly called of god. Thank you elder Holland.

Despite the worldwide pandemic and uncertainty that the covid 19 has presented, I loved this sermon from Elder Jeffrey R. Sorry but Elder Holland has been my favorite apostle since before he was an apostle. I told a friend in 1994 that I thought he would be the next apostle and he was. My favorite description of him is this. When the devil goes to bed he looks under it to see if Elder Holland is there. 😂😂😂

Prophets and Seers are real as they were real in the Jesus' time. Elder Holland talks about racism and hope. Just months later after giving this talk, we are seeing marches and protester protesting against racism. God knows and He knows His servants. Praying for all in our world. I wish I could help everyone.💔

As always elder Holland speaks the mind and will of the Lord and sentiments that will uplift those lowly in heart and suffering. I needed this and I’m so grateful for living prophets 💓

Here is what I know that I love this great man . But I think I would love to share my thoughts my witness .I know that we are here on this spinning blue planet for a reson a purpose. So I ask what is the purpose or essence of life. We are here to grow up and become more like our Heavenly parents. We are more than a physical body. If we are more than a physical body we're did our spirits come from. The great prophet Joseph Smith brought so much beautiful wonderful light and truth to this world . We are here to develop faith. To get a body and to go through experiences for the calisstecticks of growth in becoming more like our Heavenly parents. I say that the essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome. That baby can grow up and become an adult. We can grow up and become like our Heavenly Father. I am only one and the Father of my children that does not mean that there cannot be more fathers. The same is true with our Heavenly Father He is only one and the Father of our spirits. That does not mean that there cannot be more fathers in heaven. You could not develop faith if you new everything and if you new everything you would be a God. We are not Gods but nearther is a baby an adult. A baby's grace and love is very dependent upon its parents .we as real children of real Heavenly parents.and are very dependent upon them .for grace and opportunities to overcome our weaknesses. We can become more like Lord Jesus if we can take anything bad that happens to us and make good out of it . Yes I am a Christian and a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. I know that Jesus is Lord the savior of the whole world. I know that our Heavenly Father had some of his children on this side of the world. I know that Mormon was a real man and a true prophet of God also Alma Mosiah Nephi Abenidi lehi and meney others. That were true prophets of God. I also know that is is important to read the holy bible it is important to real the book of Mormon. Both the holy bible and the and the book of Mormon are writing of Gods true living prophets. I have never read anywhere in the holy bible where Christ Himself did any writing except for in the sand so who wrote the holy bible true prophets of God. I say that every since this spinning blue planet and all the worlds of our Heavenly Father were created any time we as real children of real Heavenly parents have desired to grow up and become more God our Heavenly Father the one and Father of our spirits. Has always called or worked through true living prophets teachers of Gods will for us as we grow up in become more like He is. I know that the living word of God is the mouth of Gods true living prophets and apostles today. I know that you can take the writings of dead prophets and make up all the churches you want and they do. Gods true. Church is on the earth today. I love it and thank God for His grace and love in having it .Gods paterans are that anytime we as real children of real Heavenly parents have desired to grow up and become like they are God has always called true living prophets. One Lord one faith and one Baptizen. One way to go in the time of Noah Mosus Abraham or any of Gods true living prophets. If people say that they believe in the holy bible they need to say that they believe in a true living prophets and apostles today. Gods grace and love is so beautiful. Look at all the opportunities we have to serve God and bear testimony of His only begotten son Jesus Christ. The holy bible and the book of Mormon and Gods true living prophets and apostles today truly testify of Lord Jesus and and his divine mission as the only begotten of our Heavenly Father. Here is something else I know that life is beautiful and that Gods grace and love is there rather we want it or not..Gods true living prophets and apostles are on the earth today. We live in such a wonderful time when so much has been reviled ..love and Gods grace and love. Happy for the church and Gods true living prophets and apostles. Love . Hebrews 6:1-3 King James Version 6 “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit.” Hebrews 5:13-14 KJV “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” I have been in LDS Church for over 20 years and we had been feed only milk not solid food for all those years, it cause spiritual death. I’ve been seeing so many people facing Or already suffering spiritual death including myself. God loves us, but God’s love is not spoil. People like to speak on the love of God and the good side of God but there are 2 sides of God. He loves and he curses; He is just and he is merciful; He Pardons sin and he punishes sin; He heals people and he kills people, but all this is not arbitrary, it's related to the moral and spiritual condition of people and how God reacts to what we are and what we do. Only talk about one side of God is misleading and is not from God, this kind of preaching has a “sweet” name, it called “sugarcoated Gospel”, it causing spiritual death. Psalm 111:10 “10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endure for ever.” Nowadays, people fear everything but not God. They fear not have enough money, their health, their job, their future, their retirement etc. but they don’t fear God! I would say if we fear of God, we don’t need to fear anything in this world!
