The US productions do seem different than the Canadian ones. I hope it comes back to Toronto so I can see it again but with the rendition before, not the new one.

If you’re still interested in the ending (I saw the musical in Chicago): The whole premise is that there’s a competition put on after all 6 characters die and whoever wins can choose any person (including them self) to be revived and have a whole new life. The play is essentially learning about all 6 people and their personalities etc. In the end, I believe a girl named Ocean (the most perfect girl in town) wins, but she instead chooses to revive Jane Doe (the person who sang in this video) since at least the other 5 of them have their memories and friendships and can exist in the afterlife with that (while Jane Doe has no memories since she was unidentified).

depends on who performed it I guess; Elliot Loran did an amazing rendition, but the following acts through the years are somewhat lackluster.

Probably the only song that makes sense in terms of the premise of the musical and is acceptable for daytime television. Plus Emily Rohm absolutely slaughters this song every time she sings it, so it makes sense this is the one they picked.

I agree but I don't think there's any other song which is entirely solo, also it does have such a vibe to it it's intriguing. Hearing an excerpt of it is what made me interested.

Hot take it gives a carnival vauldeville jazz that the whole play is based off of. The whole play was written and composed by vauldeville group, like the actor who plays Noel said.
