I saw them flying around for this!!! This was at Sulphur Springs, Texas. I wondered why anyone would be flying around during an eclipse. Much less doing formation flying. Now it makes sense.

I'm in Texas (an hour east of Dallas) and I heard a plane flying around (I know it wasn't these planes in the video). I'm so jealous, I wish I got to see it from the sky 😭

As a professional photographer, who has photographed the eclipse in totality, this is one of the most difficult shots to get from both the technical and timing perspective. Brilliantly executed. Job well done!

Crazy how the sun is so bright that it makes the day look normal even though the moon was covering like 90% of it

With 90% coverage it would be much brighter then that, I had like 85% coverage and it was barely noticeable to a casual observer

@@ducksongfansWe were supposed to be in the path of 98.7% totality and saw absolutely nothing. No change at all, like a normal day. but people in the town we're right outside of got pics of pitch black skies and orange rings and crescents.
