I own quite a few bags, this being the one I enjoy the looks of the most, but the one I use the least due to the limitations of the space. I absolutely love the design, materials used, and the pocket layout, and the mesh feels incredible. So much so I bought a second one in black so that I would want to use it more often. I originally bought it for photography but it didn’t work out as well as I’d liked for that so now it’s just great for me to use for short day trip tech carries along with a smaller Fuji camera like the xt20 27mm pancake combo I would also like to point out the velcro pocket on the flap is actually for the lid of the upper camera cube. The lid slides in there directly so that when you open the flap it opens the lid to your camera gear! There are quite a lot of quirks and features of this bag and you did a great job pointing them out as usual! (I actually never even noticed the hole for the cable feed to the side pocket myself :)

Have this very one. A really great everyday backpack. Heavy, especially when loaded, but manageable. The add-ons give even more storage space. Not as great for a travel bag. Boundary lists the total volume at 22L, and for a travel backpack, you definitely want their Prima. One thing the Errant has on the Prima is it stands upright on it’s own, whereas the Prima does not. Makes it easy to just stick in a corner out of the way instead of lying on the ground.

I owned this bag for almost a year, ended up letting it go because I was able to put less stuff in this when I really needed it. 24L for this bag doesn't feel like 24L. Since it shares the "tech" compartment with the laptop. Access to the main compartment is a pain in the butt because of the nipple clips, great materials but it just wasn't for me :) Ended up switching it for the Aer Fit Pack 2, for 17L that fit a surprising amount of stuff for my EDC. Great video, Ed! Looking forward to the review of the Bellroy Transit Workpack! Cheers!

Leaving a 24L pack for a 17L because of restrictive storage size says a lot, wow!
@KoIzumi24

@@sanjacobs6261 the laptop compartment also fits a 15 inch laptop, but they don't tell you that it barely fits slightly thicker 15 inch devices. I have owned the Asus Strix Hero II and the Razer Blade 15, and the Strix Hero II fits but I have difficulty closing the zipper. The storage in the Errant also doesn't allow for anything that has a set shape to it. My experience was I could not fit lunchboxes, umbrella, and my 65% mkb in the main compartment comfortably. And even adding my jacket into it makes it an INCREDIBLY tight fit. The Errant also advertises it has a bottom shoe compartment, and when you do fill it up with shoes, you're going to have to say goodbye to any capacity you have on the main compartment. Good idea and innovation on features, but it tries too hard to be all that and fails to nail the basic features of an EDC backpack, which is to carry your everyday stuff and then some. Hope this helps you make your bag decisions! :)

I own both the Errant Xpac and the Prima System. 3 years in, have to say they're highly disappointing. Many have already mentioned the impracticality of the Errant pack due to the lack of capacity. My biggest gripe is that the hypalon (which is supposedly super durable) disintegrated after 2 years and the Errant doesn't look good with peeling hypalon. The Prima System's base hypalon disintegrated so much that the broken bits get everywhere; all the zipper pulls have broken and fell off. And this is just regular city commute, not even putting the backpacks through extreme weather. The Boundary team actually admitted that it's a design flaw that will 'take a year or more to fix'.

Sold mine. It felt like it has less volumne due to all the rooms canabilizing on each other. And it was waaay too heavy (which was also due to uncomfortable harness system). I would rather recommend their Prima System.

Thanks for the support! I reckon this is a great option as there's a dedicated tablet sleeve as well as a laptop sleeve. Not to mention you can get the camera cube that works with this bag. Other suggestions would be the Peak Design Everyday Backpack or Peak Design Everyday Zip (they both have inbuilt camera organisation). Check out our videos on those. Hope that helps - Ed

Thanks, really enjoyed the video. I have the Errant and despite the smaller capacity works really well for my edc needs. Just one question please, I find the shoulder straps, very very uncomfortable. They're very stiff and it feels like all the weight is on the shoulder. Even if I use the chest strap which alleviates some of that weight on the shoulders, it's only partial. What has been your experience on the straps as they age? Do they get more comfortable? Or were you able to do something to make them more comfortable? Many thanks.
@RushfasterTV
@RushfasterTV Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback:) Firstly, it's worth considering whether the pack is properly adjusted to your body. Adjusting the straps, sternum strap, and hip belt can make a big difference in how the pack feels on your shoulders. Make sure the pack is snug against your back, with the weight distributed evenly. If you've already adjusted the pack and the straps are still uncomfortable, there are a few things you can do. One is to look into aftermarket shoulder strap pads. These can be purchased online or at outdoor gear stores and can help distribute the weight more evenly and reduce pressure points. Another option is to try and soften the straps by breaking them in. This can be done by simply wearing the pack around for short periods of time until the straps start to soften up. You could also try rubbing the straps with a fabric softener or conditioning oil to help soften the material. Finally, if you've tried adjusting the pack and using aftermarket pads and still find the straps uncomfortable, it may be worth considering a different pack that better fits your body and needs. It's important to find a pack that you're comfortable carrying, especially if you plan on using it for extended periods of time.

After a few weeks in 2023 of owning the Errant Pack and several accessories, My further comments are: - The quality of the construction is GARBAGE. The laser cuts on the straps unravel, the hypalon on the back panel and on the Aux compartment crack and peel, despite zero abuse. The zipper pulls start to disintegrate very fast. - The straps are very rigid and for me uncomfortable. They seem to work for some people, perhaps due to body type. - The look is very nice, and I enjoy the utility. Sadly the bag deteriorates so fast that it mars the overall look.

After 1 year usage it's a great backbag with some flaws imho: 1) The small straps to open the backbag on various clasps started to fall off and break after just a few month. 2) Most disappointing thing are the accessories like the aux compartment, which is just faulty design and doesn't hold properly at the top, since the wrong mounts were used. It makes it useless for everyone, since you can't trust it will hold while you hike or have so run a bit faster. So I don't recommend anyone to buy it, since it's also very pricy and not well thought through.

Boundary Supply? BUYER BEWARE! Terrible quality. Falls apart. Last a lifetime? You must be joking. That goes for the Errant pack as well as accessories too. What's worse - internationally they dont stand behind their product. Even when I purchased an accessory from a licensed dealer of theirs, the dealer refunded my money themselves and told me that they stopped dealing with Boundary as they dont answer warranty claims. AVOID!
