A Prayer by Kings Kaleidoscope Lyrics Will I fall or will I misstep? Will I fall or will I misstep? Will I call you with my last breathe? Will you be there for me after? Will I waste inside the silence Where the fear is vicious violent? Wicked sinner thrown to lions With no hope on the horizon Will I fall or will I misstep? If I fall or if I misstep If I fall or if I misstep If I call you with my last breath Will you be there for me after? Cause i'm wasting in this silence And my fear is vicious violent I'm a child thrown to lions Is there hope on the horizon? If I fall or if i misstep JESUS, where are you? Am I still beside you? JESUS, where are you? Am I still beside you? JESUS, where are you? Am I still beside you? Am I still beside you? JESUS, where are you? JESUS, where are you? I'm right beside you! i feel what you feel! And i'm here to hold you when death is too real! You know, i died, too! i was terrified! I gave myself for you! i was crucified Because i love you! i love you, child!

He wrote this song when he lost his son Zion. Such a raw, deep cry to Jesus in the lowest point of his life. I love how Jesus responds back to him though after the silence and the waiting. So beautiful.

I have to say, as a 62 year old woman, I started listening and didn't think I would relate to or like this song. I was wrong. I've lived long enough to have lived through too many times when I felt exactly what was portrayed in this song. The language actually made it more genuine to me. It wasn't offensive. It's gutwrenching emotion, and requires passionate language to convey the power of the feelings. This was dramatized so well through the sounds that I could actually visualize the scene. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't used in a movie at some point, it draws such a vivid picture.

I prefer the explicit version of the song. It is more real. Every Christian has had prayers like this. Desperate. Begging for the Lord. Lost. Hopeless. They captured this emotion perfectly, and the truth that the Lord responds with. Such a powerful song. I’ve cried my eyes out so many times to this song.

I’m so glad you listened to the explicit version. I think God is ok with us being real in moments of pain. He sees us from the very depths anyways. This song was so much like the last days with my brother, before he met the Lord. He passed due to heart complications that came from previous years of drug use. But you know man, all of a sudden it came like a wave of overwhelming powerful love to him. Jesus wrecked him in those last days. He looked at me with tears streaming and said “Tay, he’s so so real to me. I get it now. He loves us so much, doesn’t he?” We would sit and cry with this song. He left this earth without a typical miracle that some would pray for, but those last days were a miracle to me. He ran into the arms of Jesus. I will never doubt that. This song is something I’ll always cherish.

For more of a raw worship experience, Shane & Shane KILLS IT! Psalm 46 LIVE oh man. Makes me cry every time. Also, if you like more of the eclectic experience with Christian music like Kings, John Mark McMillan is a funky dude. Great live too. His newer stuff (“mercury and lighting” through “Peopled with Dreams”) is my favorite. We have his vinyls and play them constantly.

Everybody get ready..this song took me by surprise... remember this song is about raw, honest emotion..He is being very real here..so keep that in mind...and remember we have ALL fell short of the glory of God..and be careful not to judge....I have been in this place before when I was 17 my 15 yr old brother died...I was so mad about it, I thought I might lose my relationship with God..but He waited patiently for me to come back to Him..

Thissss!!! I love the transparency of this song Prayer! We have all been there! God doesn’t leave us because we’re angry. Jesus did not come to earth to condemn us, he came to give us life. He came to set us free. God’s desire is that we would run to him, not run away from him, even when we’re angry. He wants our honesty and transparency. Thank you Leonardo! Thank you!

I can Imagine that Life was not Always easy for you and i know that you have an pure Heart and searching for the truth. Everything can Change with one decision! That doesn't mean that we Always have an Happy Life as Christian but we know someone who can support us, teach us to handle the Battles of Life. He loves you so much and tries to teach to Out to you trough this music. No shame or doubt cause you are a child of god and as beautiful as the stars at the nightsky :)...

So since no-one has commented on why it's "explicit", I wanted to share on why this song was written with the f-word. Chad, the singer, felt it as an importance because this song is based on a journal of entry of his in the past. He was lost and angry with God and that is the word he used in his journal. It's intentionally used and now just used for a pointless reason. You said it beautifully when you said "not every prayer is eloquent." Chad wouldn't sit here and just condone cussing all the time haha but we also can't just fake our words and way through life. We have those hard day's but each waking moment Jesus says "I love you Child."

Wow! So powerful! This song portrays the desperation we feel when we have wandered from His presence. He is always there, but we stop seeing him, stop listening to His voice. He gives us free Will to choose him or choose the world. The more we side with the world, the more we sin, the farther we walk away from Him and the path he set before us. He is always just there. Waiting. It’s often when we hit rock bottom or are in the hands of darkness, that we finally cry out to the only one who save us. A broken and contrite heart is what the Father wants. Jesus came not for the healthy, but the sick. The sick and broken who are Crying out as an empty vessel wanting to be filled with His spirit. He is such an amazing perfect loving forgiving merciful Father. He came to the earth. The word of God made flesh. Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh. He dealt with the battle of the flesh and the sorrow of the world. He never sinned, he walked perfectly upon the earth and chose to die so that we could be set free. He had to fight the desires of the world and all temptation. He already knew our names and he willingly became the Heavenly Lamb that was slain. The perfect sacrifice to conquer sin and death. He died for us when we were DEAD in sin. He came to set the captives free and put His Holy Spirit inside of us and we become Saints of God. Children of God. A royal Priesthood. Through faith we become the seed of Abraham and are adopted by the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

David Crowder did not write How He Loves. John Mark McMillan did and if you ever get the chance to listen to him sing it and tell his story behind the song I beg everyone to please do it. You have no idea what you are missing. Crowder totally destroyed that song in my opinion and I mean that respectfully because I know many people love Crowder's version but there is nothing like the original.

I lost my mother my best friend while I was pregnant with my second baby girl. I went through all this and I slammed my arms on the counter asking him to show me his spirit if he was there and boy did he show up. That night there were miracles that dont normally happen at my church ...the holy spirit dropped and everyone was weeping loudly and it was hot and there was someone speaking in tongues and someone translating and a word of prophesy and that was not a normal time for our church ... we all barely talked afterward because it was so crazy everyone just walked away like what just happened. Plus every day he was there by my side. Have you heard of the good christian music blog ? They also have some of the greatest music. That's where I began finding gold. God bless you on your journey and remember the walk of a Christian is not easy. If you read 1 peter you will see and study each verse rewrite it you will see this life is sharing in hardship that Jesus went through ... but God came down and he did it for us first he was left by family and friends he was alone he was betrayed. I always remember the pain but I'm so thankful for the Lord ♡

I must say since you analyzed them the first time they become my favorites. I think I already heard almost everything they had on youtube. This is music + documentary of the album Live In Color. Revienta mi cabeza cada vez que lo oigo... esos arreglos! So, thanks for it!

The original lyrics of including the f word are so dang emotional and raw, but the replacing the word “vicious” is also emotional and works & flows smoothly

I hope you have a wonderful day today, as well! Good job today. I would love for you to review "Great I Am" or "When the Stars Burn Down" by Philips, Craig, and Dean if you ever get the chance. I love to watch your reactions and then talking about the music you hear. Keep it up, Leonardo!

i dont know if you take requests often but i have a few casting crowns songs that would be awesome to see you react to. 1)east to west 2) does anybody hear her 3) who am I 4)voice of truth - and finally 5 ) until the whole world hears. these are some of my all time favorite songs! btw just subscribed and from one musician to another i really appreciate you bringing attention to how power musically and lyrically christian songs can be. i hear way too much hate about this kind of music from people who have shut themselves off from God and its really sad so thank you! much love!

So I just watched this 2 weeks later as an answer to your request on the first Friday throw back. What stood out to me was the fact that you picked up on that it's a prayer from hopelessness. You mentioned about how you feel the singer had lost his attention on Christ and had his attention on something else, and reading a few comments below I see that he is singing from the pain of the death of his son. But as you recognised so well where we put our attention is key. He sings of "No hope on the horizon" and yet at the end of the song comes back around to where it is to be found...in the love of God for him who walks with him through all of the pain and who has been there and knows what it feels like...reminds me of verses in Isaiah 43:1-5 which says "Israel, the Lord who created you says, do not be afraid- I will save you. I have called you by name - you are mine. When you pass through deep waters I will be with you, your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through the fire you will not be burned, the hard trials that cone will not hurt you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy God of Israel who saves you. I will give up Egypt to set you free, I will give up Sudan and Seba. I will give up whole nations to save your life because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honour. Do not be afraid - I am with you!" When we know Jesus there is always hope and other beautiful verses from the Fathers heart to us about the hope we have in Him are found in Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 1:18, Hebrews 10:23, Isaiah 40:31, Romans 15:13 and 1 Peter 1:3-6. And I'll finish with my very first thought after watching this video...which was based on 1 Corinthians 13:13 meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love. Because sometimes when you lose all hope and your faith is shaken and doubting it's love that brings you back, reassures and let's you know God cares

This band is one of my all time favorites! Great video. I pray you find the answers to your prayers.... if you are taking suggestions, I think KB is a great Christian artist. “Armies” and “Crown & Thorns (Oceans)” are both lyrically and musically moving.

This is so wild how quickly you are pumping these out! I think why this was so heavily requested for you to review because it’s real. When you go through real life, real prayers aren’t always quiet or polite. God wants you to be honest with him just like you would a best friend!

Stumbled across your oceans video yesterday and have just watched a few more, plus your interview with the pastor. Thank you for reminding me of the enjoyment that comes from just soaking up music with good headphones. I used to do it a lot but haven't for years. The last hour I've been back and listened note by note to a few old favourites, including kings kaleidoscope. I'm feeling so chill right now. I am a christian but listen to a whole range of music right across the secular genres too. Looking forward to finding some of your recommendations and finding new music. My christian recommendations to you would be 'Multiplied' by NEEDTOBREATHE (into the woods live version) and 'Treasure' by Lion of Judah who aren't very well known yet but particularly hot on it with their lyrics! Secular wise, if you've not heard of Hey Rosetta! then check them out. I'd start with 'Yer Spring'.
