I remember being in AP computer class in high school and we had a "game"/programming language called Niki, a very simple language related to Pascal where you steered a robot on a grid. Been enamored with those types of puzzle games ever since, great examples are *Shenzen IO* (if you like solving more practical problems like programming noise filters or billboard light displays), *Human Resource Machine* (if you liked the art style of World of Goo and a more anthropomorphized view of how/why a computer does what it does) or *TIS-100* (if you like multiprocess/multithreaded programming). Honorable mention to *Baba is You* for not _exactly_ being programming per se, but _very_ close to it in principle with you being able to basically alter the properties of (almost) any object in the game.

I spent the past 3 years doing a Maths degree, with the part that always held me back being the fact I can't do programming. The lecturers used to take me saying I can't do it as me saying I didn't want to do it. Really ruined my time there. For those who cam do programming, I think you're quite talented, but it's a skill I don't have. I've now moved to the OU to finish my degree as and Open Degree, supplementing in other stuff to vover credits I couldn't get, whilst still being able to do Maths stuff.

on the other hand, there are a ton of self-taught programmers and people who do it as a hobby on the internet, we have to shift our understanding of programming a little, programming itself as a hobby, or to make some scripts for yourself isn't hard, in fact, I'm of the opinion that everyone should learn to code, but being able to do it professionally is much harder, just like everyone can paint but not everyone can be a professional artist
