A second visit to a promising site; delivered on its promise.
This site is one I've barely scratched the surface of... it's big, and steep, and is dotted with bottle digger holes; I've managed to explore about half of it so far... the above ground bit of it anyway. Think I might need to return there soon.
I hope you enjoy this video, if you do, then please give it a like, a subscribe, a comment, a share... whatever you feel comfortable with. Suggestions, comments and criticisms are all welcome.

Your figurine with the fashionable hat would make an interesting centaur. Since they’re not usually clothed, it might be kind of funny to see a centaur all decked out in some dandy clothes. Thanks for exploring this dump; great finds and congrats on the Codd!

No sooner were the words: "Round-up time." spoken, I was out like a light. Thank goodness for the playback option. Thank you for clarifying that this was a walk recorded in the spring, otherwise I'd have been asking what kind of magical daffodils grow in the UK that bloom in August. Lovely colored glass bottles. Most enjoyable.

The headless dog is Pluto. You've probably been told that at least 10 times already, but just in case you haven't... I'd love to see the figurine receive tentacles. I'm sure there is even the occasional octopus or squid with bad taste. 😆 Congrats on the Cod! That's excellent!! ❤️ And it was a very interesting video. I hope you get back there again soon. If you don't mind sharing, I'd be very interested to hear your educational history. You have such a wide knowledge base, but if I had to guess, I'd guess you studied science of some sort. I'd be harder pressed to guess a branch of science.

Thanks Shanna, yes... more than 10 times 🙂 Oh, maybe tentacles then... really should practice my human shapes sculpting skills too though. 🙂 My education is a mixed bag; a degree in an obscure Design discipline, a CELTA, Paddi certification, Art diploma; didn't take science beyond GCSE... unless you count Psychology as a science, which I don't. I'm just interested in many subjects, read widely, and... write too (Have researched for several books, most of which I haven't finished writing.)
@iriswaterford8881

Shanna I like your tentacles idea, with one going up covering or caressing the hat Tom doesn't like. I thought of Pluto as well, however, talking to my screen doesn't seem to travel far. As for the cod bottle, it is perfectly imperfect as is. The slightly damaged neck, the cracks of time yet it still has its cod marble.
@shannahenk1655

@@iriswaterford8881 the tentacle idea was Tom's, not mine. I was just saying I thought they'd be great.

Oh, happy day, your first complete Codd bottle! I did a happy dance for you!!! It cleaned up quite well. The cracks add character and I'm so glad we didn't fall and break it. The upper half of the Dandy cleaned up also well! Congrats! If I shouted out every time I wanted you to stop and pick up something, I would be shouting for most of the video. Till the age of 11, I would go exploring in Upstate New York. I actually found a dump, complete w lil bottles. I was so excited! I ran home w them, showed my Mum, only to have my heart smashed and the bottles going in the trash. However, I can now create! Classical music w guitar, watercolour pictures, and my newest hobby, weaving. God bless and stay safe, love, Stevie

Hi Tom, it loked a little cold out there. The daffodils and lack of tree foliage gave the time of year away as possibly Feb or March. Your joy in finding the cod bottle was lovely to hear. The teardrop item with the hole at the top is a diary or jewelry box key. Kind of worn off. The kewpie doll is a kind of pink color. So stripping it and re paint is good. The dog is Pluto. He always has a big red collar. The Victorian artwork on metal was always so beautiful to me. Even in Savannah Georgia, I still love to tour the old Victorian era homes and see the brass in operation. Im safe and well as is my husband of 42 years. So please stay safe yourself and significant other!

This was a fine video and like you, I like seeing the veiny tree limbs. This is a great dump site with the toppled trees, the digging holes by fellow mud-larkers and what the force of water can do. I hope you return to it. Where you fine one whole Codd bottle, you may find two. We enjoy your videos, the chase or hunt for discoveries, the history of sites and things, the odd, the reuse of materials and the thrill of just going out for a walk along side you. Thank you. Maybe a belt buckle, or nail collection would be interesting.

In Northern Canada during the Fall, the forest smells like old socks because of the ripened high bush Cranberries. They really smell like old socks but they taste much better after the first frost or two. You can forage for low bush Cranberries, low bush Blueberries which are sinfully delicious and the stinky high bush Cranberries that make such good sauce. Fall has always been my time to harvest.

Interesting cod bottle there, crack and all. I can’t believe how many Himalayan Balsam seedlings there were there. I have them in my garden and pull out several hundred seedlings every spring. I only allow 6-8 to grow as the form a nice screeen for my deck from my neighbours.
What the storms left to find. Mudlarking adventure.
