The word "Godhead", as the very literal King James and New King lames Versions use, is a good translation but it sometimes leads to confusion. Oneness believers will try to assert that the Godhead is the Father, therefore Jesus is the Father or that this proves Jesus is the only person of the Godhead because the Godhead is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. But of course, Paul never wrote "Godhead", he wrote in Greek. It is more important to find out what Paul actually meant rather than what we want him to mean. The Greek word translated to "Godhead" or "Deity" is theotes. It is a noun and the root word of theotes is theos, which is obviously God in Greek. Theotes means the state of being God; deity, divinity or Godhead - what it means to be God or what makes God, God; or the essence of God. So Paul is saying the fullness of the essence of God dwells in Christ, bodily. In Trinitarian doctrine, the essence of God is shared by 3 divine persons. Each person is not 1/3 God, each person is 100% God and each person has full access to the essence of God. This verse, Colossians 2:9, proves firstly that there is such thing as the essence of God, secondly, that Jesus has full access to that essence and thirdly, Jesus is indeed 100% God. In order to take this verse to mean Jesus is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Jesus only/Oneness doctrine), one must by necessity engage in eisegesis. The verse simply doesn't say that. Instead it proves lesus is 100% God, which is exactly what the Trinity teaches. Each of the 3 persons has the fullness of the Godhead, because each person is the only true God.

God is a spirit. He doesn't have a physical body. He can't be seen with physical eyes. The right hand means authority. This verse means that he saw Jesus in heaven with all authority of God.... ie Jesus is God.

So if the Bible says they are one, yet they still have two distinct personhoods (Mind, will, emotions, etc.) How is the Trinity any different? @@NikkNakk83He was literally showing us how to pray. That doesn’t mean he and the “Father” are separate. My question to you is this: Isaiah 9:6 says Jesus shall be called the Everlasting FATHER. If Jesus is not the Father, why does the Bible call him the father. Additionally, it says THE everlasting Father. It didn’t say AN everlasting father. That right there is enough. The way Jesus is saying it here He is using the term “horao” which means to perceive/understand/grasp the concept of and is used figuratively. The term that He’d have used to convey that they were literally looking at visually/physically through the eyes and what you are thinking He is saying is the GK word “blepo”. He didn’t use that word here.

It is a lot more simple than what people want to describe. Jesus is the son of God no matter how someone wants to describe it. God did not move upon Mary and birth himself in the form of a man. The Holy Ghost moved upon Mary and conceived, and she bore a son, which was Jesus the son of God. The Holy Ghost did not move upon Mary, and she conceive God because God is a spirit, Jesus was flesh.

The earliest Christians were in fact Trinitarian as witnessed to by some of the greatest scholars of church history. The Father, Son amd Spirit are one God one in essence yet have different roles within the God head. Unitarianism is a heresy that was condemned very early in the church.

Understand that Jesus is Jesus all the while being the God of heaven, in heaven at the same time. He’s walking the earth as a man while still inhabiting heaven at the same time. The same can be said when Jesus was baptized and the voice came from heaven and the dove flew over. It’s the same person regardless. It’s not 3 people in the equation, only one. Jesus said me and my father are one. Jesus is the son. Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit would be sent by the father in his name. 3 offices, 1 person with 1 name.

In the beginning was the plan the plan was with God the plan was God. Is there any doubt that God is and has been and always will be the plan for our salvation? You do believe Jesus is God in the flesh right? The point is where are we told He is another person with or another God with God? No more than when you look into a mirror and see your image it's not another person. That image is you and at the same time not another you. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Again not another person or God. God lessened himself to take on the form of a servant. Not some person with God or another God. Not one verse tells us differently. If there's a verse that tells us a person or God with God became flesh this is yet to be shown in the bible. We only know God is one Almighty God and that is clear. We know God can be what God chooses to be. That is clear. Showing that God is presently Father and Son an Holy Spirit only shows God can be three separate persons all at the same time. But that is not in same as saying God is three presons. Personally I believe God can limitless persons if He so chooses. Man enough to cry, to feel, to be hungry. Godly duvine enough to forgive Sins and many more.
