I've also finished watching it. I'd give like like 3.5 stars strictly due to the fact that this is supposed to be a prequel but instead feels like a spinoff. The monsters seem upgraded in this one by a ton yet not related the the ones in the first two movies. They can hear someone kick a can and just instantly ignore car alarms and everything just to go after a kicked can and can for some reason sense where bridges end and stop in a heartbeat. Not to mention the characters walk over t9ns of materials that the monsters are sensitive too but none of them attack because they somehow can't hear that. There's alot more talking in this movie too which doesn't make sense and above all that they just seem like they can hear only people movement when it's convinent vs hear8ng movement that would sound out of place or normal to them

It was a good movie, yes. You could see the constant fear in all the characters, which then translates to you, realising that they are even more paranoid than you in this survival situation. The monsters also show no mercy. Everybody dies. The thing that got me was when they were heading to the dock in big groups, and the steps were getting louder and noisier, the paranoiya. And for all mothers, just to toy with emotions, they see this mother just see their son get their ass eaten, the horror in her voice as they screamed their name, it didn't end well for her. And these are things happening in the background. Every person had a life before this, and suddenly, it's all gone. 10/10

crazy how the cat doesn't make a single noise at all it was basically just there to build suspense but even when the cat was legit face to face with a death angel it basically didn't react at all the protagonist of the movie almost got themselves killed worrying more about the cat despite it being fine loll

They are but I don't know if you noticed it they're inconvientky only able to hear things that would keep the survivor alive. Like half the movie is them walking over random stuff but the monsters can't hear them yet they'll run after car alarms and just stop chasing once they hear a can on the road

@@clashquest8159 I thought this too but realized the only actual answer would be that the aliens in the first movies would have adapted due to being on earth so long but it's like they kinda came out of the meteorite knowing what to do right away for a monster that has no sense aside from hearing ya know?

I actually noticed that some of the monsters are also gigantic in this movie, I noticed it when the group of aliens were feeding and Eric made a noise, and seeing its head size and eventually rest of the body seemed much bigger than the last two movies

@@Dread7404 maybe where they orginally came from was just really really quiet I doubt whatever planet they may have came from they were the most intelligent species but probably the most dominant one and obviously just had a pack mentality and killed everything that wasn't them because as far as we know they never once fought each other despite them making noise too when trying to destroy what was making noise they were also able to communicate with each other so maybe they were just doing what they did on their OG planet

I don’t think it was supposed to be a horror movie it was suspense And thriller but I respect your opinion

the movie is classified as a suspenseful thriller, definitely not a horror movie …. i really wished you tried to dive deeper into the character development of Sam. don’t get me wrong, at the beginning of the movie i was thinking “wtf is this bitch doing? she’s gonna kill herself cause she wants a pizza” but throughout the film i started to fall deeply into her character. the purpose of the movie was not “i want a pizza” it was a story of a girl who never got to live her life. apocalypse to most means the end but for her it was the beginning. through the chaos and with the help of Eric, she found a way to live when the world was ending. Eric helped her reconnect with her dead father( who used to be a piano player and would take her to a jazz club to listen to music, and afterwards take her to get pizza) giving her peace and comfort in the life she knew she had little time to live. humanity shines through this movie, personally i think it was beautiful
