A rainy day at Meihan Sportsland, January 2018.
I filmed this video at the N-Style Meihan event that was held on the Wednesday after Tokyo Auto Salon. I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka and then rode the local trains to Izumiotsu to meet up with the guys from Stacked Inc who then took me to the track the next day.
It rained constantly all morning but then started to dry up a little in the afternoon, before raining heavily again. What really impressed me was the speed at which some of these drivers were initiating at in the wet, along with how much traction some of them had. In addition to a good dose of bravery and technical ability, I'd say this could be attributed to well-considered suspension setups and tyre choice.
