I have a question how can a ray line segment and line have no thickness at all even in nanometer or lesser but two convergence rays can meet at a single point

It's in form of wave I.e disturbances in medium Some of these disturbances because of different characteristics give sensation of hotness Some give of brightness Basically energies Basically I got what u asked Like any energy changes arrangement of particles of medium (air) but they don't add any particle to it
