tbh that clay mask is poison to your skin, it dries out your natural oils and damages the structural integrity of the skin barrier. hopefully i saved some of you hopeful yougins from destroying your face with toxic aztec clay mask.

This is too relatable and I don't know how I feel. Oh and honestly if you just wash your face with like a rag and see dove bar soap (or other soaps, if you have like sensitive skin or there's bar soaps for like other things) it really does work. But like sometimes I go wild and do some insane skin care routine for one night just to pamper myself cause school is exhausting

not to be that guy but there a couple thing you should try changing in your routine. I work at a spa so i have some alternatives) The st. ives scrub is like terrible for your face and can cause permanent damage to your face. please throw it away. popping pimples incorrectly can cause ruptures in a lower layer and cause more/cysts or acne scars. if you know you are super acne prone, try putting a thin lay of mud mask every night, but for like 5 minutes tops and wash it off it will help balance the oils in your skin. when washing the mask off just get a face towel (they are like $2 at target) run it under warm/hot warm and then lay it on your face and hold it for a bit and wipe the mask off. fast and cleaner than using the sponge. and for moisturizer i would just let that serum moisturize your face. if you are crazy oily then you already produce enough oils. if you really need to put something try the caudalie grape mist spray. its 18 bucks for the big can or try lightweight moisturizer from a k beauty brand (they usually aren't too pricey) to fight troublesome acne just put mud mask on the pimples and leave on over night or use can use the pink powder either it will help it go down faster.

Why st ives are bad (and lots of harsh scrubs) It will remove or damage your first layer of cells which means that anything you put on it just damages the second, more delicate, skin cells bUT if you leave it dirt will build up and give you pimples because your pores are damaged and blocked. They can also create micro tears which over time just let bacteria cling to your skin. All in all it’s just gonna give you pimples and rip your skin.

Two things: 1. After popping a pimple you ALWAYS have to wash your hands because of the pus (is that the right word?) that is on your hands and it will go everywhere and make you sick. So wash your hands. Wash your hands before starting with your skincare routine in general. 2. Dont use St. Ives scrubs! They are the worst thing that you could ever put on your skin. I cant really explain it but you can look it up. Dermatologists hate that stuff. I think its because it contains tiny plastic things that are ripping open your pores/hurting the top layers of your skin? But idk just look it up.
