It’s not too much work really, I got most of this at a bag sale half a year ago and then just folded it, made a video, and dropped it off on my way to the post office-Whataburger money!! Lmao

I just lot up a box and put it on poshmark. I make sure to max out the weight I did for my newborn sons clothes I made $35 dollars not bad for me anyway

I’ve noticed that boys clothes are more accepted there than girls clothes. If you go in, you’ll see that the girls section is packed while the boys section is slim picking. Sometimes they’ll post on FB that they need boys clothes.

Kids clothes are hard to profit on unless you’re getting them free to cheap (bins pricing). If you have a kids consignment sale near you, I’d look into valet tagging. Someone tags everything for you and you get 45%-50% of the profit. Something like a JBF kids sale. I think you’ll still make more than Once Upon a Child.

This was basically all free, I got most of it at a bag sale I go to and I’ve made the money back on that already. I totally agree if you’re not getting this stuff dirt cheap it would be hard to profit! I don’t think we have another childrens consignment store here but sometimes they do seasonal sales but that looks like a lot of work to me!

@@Murrayed_Life You are right, the seasonal kids sales are a lot of work! But they usually do have some valet taggers. So instead of you tagging all of your items you drop them off with the valet taggers and they do the work for you. Most of the consignment seasonal sales have a commission rate of you pocketing 60% of what you sell. If you use the valet taggers you only get 45%-50% of the sale, but that’s not bad for not having to do all the work!

Selling tip: no folding. Go thru them like you are, but just lay flat. Takes you less time to prep, and they have more time to look at more. Unfolding clothes from a hundred customers a day is too time consuming. I would keep set together by folding in half.

I’ve heard they don’t take onesies as much so I’m trying to pick them up less and get only ones that are super unique.

I average about $1 per piece @ OUAC. I pick up stuff at the bag sale to take there so my COG is very low.

Oh man! I have to wait until I gather like a years worth of clothing from Chloe plus some bag sale and bins items before i go. Our wait times are ridiculous and it’s about 30 mins from my house. Glad they took something.

I sell to OUAC often. I think you did well, $1 per piece is what I hope to get. A tip that might help, if there are the adjustable elastic things, let them all the way out so the waists are not cinched. And also cut out the date tags on items that have a date. Hopefully you traded in for a pair or two of great kids shoes to triple that $11 😎

Just the year one, like they have on madewell, gap, old navy, any target brands. Leave the care tag. Usually they rip out super easily.
