I thought dating someone with kids would be no big deal, until I found out he was still attached to his “ex-wife” and used his kids as an excuse. Then started dating another one with two kids, too, and uses them as an excuse to not prioritize me. But at my age, dating means most men already have kids and don’t want anymore, or find it easy to not commit because of their kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My dear, I understand how you feel about your situation but I’m still going to tell you that this is not the end of time, because so many of us especially we the ladies. 25 and the diamond ring are very significant. My SP proposed on 7/25 two years ago. 🤣 Well, if that's not confirmation, I don't know what is... I don't even remember why or how it came up, but I recently had a very nice first date with a gal, and she mentioned that she loves tiger lilies, which I have a ton of growing in my yard- and my favorites are blue stargazer lilies. I've decided that I want the new one- and I can admit that I was sort of hedging my bets moping about the old one, but I'm over it at this point. The new one is so much more balanced, we have far more in common and even our energy exchange is about a thousand times stronger. The first time we met, I thought she wasn't really my type, but I'm good at being stupid about things like that... so I'm glad I didn't make a snap judgment. The old person is still very young- I think she will be ok... I want to have children- soon, and she's all concerned about building a career right now. Neither of us is necessarily wrong, there's just too much of an age gap- with the new gal, we haven't discussed children, but she's not going to want to wait if she wants them, either- she's younger than me, but not so much so that putting off having children for very long would be a great idea... it's a lot different when you're over thirty and your biological clock is screaming at you- all of a sudden, "someday" becomes "let's elope and start making babies" really quickly... but I'm ready for that- I already raised three step kids, and they basically ghosted me after their mom died, so I'm really starting to get nervous about not having kids or grandkids around when I get old, and I already own a four bedroom house in a town that's perfect for raising a family in.
