I did a couple years back and lost 40 lbs (only meant to lose 30 but got in the habit of eating far less), and greatly improved my metabolism. For 40+ years I ate fast food because it was both cheap and convenient and I was busy. But it's no longer cheap (or even reasonable) for most fast food, and being retired really changes the "busy" picture.

McDonald's is a reality company. They make their money from rent paid to them from owner operators which makes up tof 80% of stores. Store owners pay them 20 % of income on rent, around 20-25% to staff then there is food cost, utilities, insurance, etc. Really one store doesn't make that big of a profit. So yes when wages go up the profit goes down. Think of it like this. Say you make about 2000 A month and after you pay out everything you are banking only 10% of what you make.
