My 10th grade homeschooled son took 2 Spanish courses from EdX this year. They are free courses offered by Universities from all over the world.

People from Spain sound different, they do tend to sound more “lispy” Did you award your son a whole credit for Spanish 3 after taking these 2 courses? Did you use anything else? My daughter is just starting with Spanish 1 this summer. She will be in 8th grade this fall. I figures we’d move at her pace. Not sure if she would need to go slower or not. I have an old Abeka Spanish 1 curriculum I found for $5. I speak/read Spanish, but I need tools to help me teach it bc I never took classes. My parents speak Spanish and so I learned from them. I think these Edx courses will come in handy after we finish this Abeka curriculum

I'm giving him 1 credit for the 2 courses, and he is also watching Netflix shows in spanish for the remainder of the school year.

That’s a great idea! I’m only asking because I am learning how to create courses for my children. My daughter will start earning some high school credits in 8th grade. So, it was for my learning purposes and not to judge how you are doing it. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for sharing your homeschool high school experience with us
