Good review, even after I received the Altaplex! Confirms my choice.

Had mine out this past Christmas and wind gusted to 45 mph for 11 hours with about 18 hours of rain. I used 8” a Easton Nano stakes and my trekking pole with extender. My trekking pole flexed in the wind a lot. Tent held up great. Glad I had those palms protecting me from direct wind at times out of the Gulf of Mexico while backpacking on the FTA through St Marks and Aucilla refuge.

A well done review Matt! You point out some great points on why someone would get the Altaplex. It's been a great shelter for you in our travels. It's held up in some good rainstorms too!

Dude. So I've loved the Trekker so much last year. Looking forward to using it again this year. Its so far been the best option for me. A bit on the heavier side when compared to a Duplex or Altaplex but yeah, it just been the right fit this last season. Good stuff again Matty!

Man, that's a great review. I think I've watched about 4 of your other vids tonight and I must say you have one awesome channel. Well, so far my favorite has been the last one I bought about 3 years ago, the Lightheart Firefly. It's roomy and opens up fully on both sides but my favorite part is the the 6" bathtub around the floor, it really helps pump up the room around the feet and head area, it is 30oz. though but still a nice piece. Again, great channel bro.

Hello Matt very great video about this tent man. I like how it is lightweight for people who have bad back. I had the same back problem that you have so trust me I know what you going to do brother. This is something that I need to look into. I just haven't done a lot of hiking the past 2 years because I have very very extremely wide feet. They are 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with big very very fat wide toes that are equally straight across which makes them very very extremely wide and they do not make a shoe , sock, or boots that's wide enough for my foot so I have to hike in flip-flops. And just a year ago I was involved in a real bad tractor 🚛 trailer accident and broke both of my feet. It's been real tough in the past year with a whole bunch of foot surgeries. My buddy say I'm crazy for hiking in flip-flops but then they say I'm the man for not letting my very very extremely wide feet stop me from hiking. The video matt thank you for sharing man.

Excellent review, informative, unbaised and field tested. This looks like an excellent, lightweight, spacious shelter, but like you mentioned, the price is a little steep. Perhaps getting a used one could be another option.

Well done Matt. Thanks for the time and effort that you put into this video. Does the forward lean of the rear wall encroach or rub you when you sit up? I see plenty of room overhead at the peak, but I wonder about vertical space available before that sloping back wall.
