An annular solar eclipse is going to take place on June 10, 2021. Also known as the Ring of Fire eclipse, an annular solar eclipse occurs when the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon align, but the Moon does not cover the entire solar disk. This creates an annulus around the Moon - called the ring of fire.
The timings of the June 2021 solar eclipse are 08:13 to 13: 11 UTC. The annular solar eclipse of June 2021 will be visible from Greenland, Canada, and Russia. A partial eclipse can be seen from the US, UK, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, China, Mongolia, and Bermuda.
Watching this solar eclipse would be an excellent experience for everyone. But it would be best if you were cautious as negligence can cause damage to your eyes. Do not look at the Sun with naked eyes. A long exposure can burn your eyes permanently. X-Ray sheets and sunglasses must also be avoided as they don't cut off enough light. You wouldn't know if you are hurting your eyes as the damage can take 6-8 hours to show up. The safest way to watch the eclipse is through eclipse glasses or a solar filter.
The next solar eclipse will take place on December 4.
