hello mighty wolf pack! I hope you guys enjoy the last part of this series.. Cabin Fishing the Watauga River with my family! We had a blast, obviously, catching trout after trout and just enjoying the beautiful scenery nature had to offer. I highly recommend staying in "A River Runs Through It" through Blue Ridge Rentals on the Watauga River, North Carolina. Comment below if y'all have similar memories of fishing with your family.. I know I cherish these moments and love everything from the catching, to the picking on one another, to the simple company and closeness we have.

When I was a kid a long time ago my dog would always try to bite the fish when I reeled one in. Your dog chasing the fish brought back some good old memories.

Very good family Dynamic you guys have. I wish that were like that everywhere. With everyone well at least my family. Getting out like that just on a small Creek it's as important as having a huge barbecue in the backyard with your whole family it's even more important almost. You guys's Family scene close-knit and I love to see that.

Dont give up the fly rod Heidi. NOthing more thrilling than catching a trout on dry fly in particular. Watching where and what the fish are feeding, setting a perfect drift then getting the attack (or sip as the case may be). The "hunt" strategy is as important as the catch with fly fishing and more satisfying. Of course, getting to eat a few is nice as well ( I have great recipe... Stuffed trout with a honey wine glaze...better than any other way to eat trout, especially if it's a wild fish).

wow. just wow! i did trout fishing during that short span in my life when i lived mostly landlocked....in Deschutes and John Day rivers. no offence but deep sea is for me and i was just trying to find a local substitute.. don't get me wrong there are some great trout and bass in central oregon but mostly i was happy if i got skunked or landed a whopping skinny ass 12 incher. them are some slabs right there you caught and released.! i've seen bigger trout in oregon in lakeview. the cattle there are free range and the stock ponds have trout the size of camels. ya have to bring a wench to get them in~! but seriously that was some exciting action you got on~!
