@@earthsurgery1237 The minerals can be enjoyed on the metaphysical, geologic, and scientific levels, and even though many people love the minerals just for their beauty, many, many people who love the minerals are also interested in the science behind them - the crystal structure, the minerals that give other minerals their color, and on and on and on.

It will have its turn everything person place and thing getting it turn to shine.

I've always wondered about this. I suppose it's part inevitable, part chance. It's inevitably considered cheap or semi precious because its readily available in at least some quality in most of the world. Also, the fact it's quartz- maybe because quartz crystals became part of pocketwatch production, the perceived value of all quartz as a gemstone was lowered? There is still some "chance" here i think. Marketing is a powerful tool. Take diamonds for example.

Hey! I am a geology student and can give some info; these crystal are not extremely hard to come by, they are called “enhydro” variety quartz crystals. But quartz crystals form at extremely high temperatures and pressures, such that any organic matter like DNA would not be preserved, but instead mineralized

Even testing the air composition in the bubble would be quite amazing even it there was no DNA present

there's also normal quartz with water inside, even corundum and diamonds!

They form while everything is super hot and is firing from a liquid to a solid; the water and air just gets trapped inside the crystals sometimes

Thank you, TCC and DJ for replying. This was fascinating to me so I did a bit of research on these crystals. I found an article written by Julian Gray for the Georgia Mineral Society, "ENHYDRO Terminology That's All Wet", July 2003. In it he discusses the difference between fluid inclusions and enhydros. He defines each and how they are formed. All quite fascinating. Although he states, "they are also much more common than you might imagine," I still think it's amazing! Is this the only one you've found/mined? I really appreciate the education you are giving us who are interested. By the way, amethyst is my birthstone and today is my birthday!
