A really nice video and thank you for sharing! My wife and I have a 2021 Lance 1172. After owning two travel trailers and a fifth wheel, the truck camper is a great way to travel. So much easier to get around. Safe travels!

Nice video presentation of your travels and tour of your rig. Keep em coming, they are great.. We have a 2017 825 on our F250 CC 4x4. We use it right now for just short trips when we can. I agree with you on the benefits of having all the amenities of home in a relative compact rig. Safe travels.

Just a thought on your black/gray tank dumping situation: you might want to consider buying a macerator pump to empty your tanks. There are countless KZfaq videos that review these. All the best to you two and congrats on the Lance purchase!

Thank you so much! That's a great suggestion! We did eventually find another solution for the short sewer hose, which we'll share in our next video!

Sharp looking rig. I’m currently considering buying a used Lance for a ten day trip to the Black Hills, Little Bighorn Battle site as well as Cody and Dubois Wyoming, (Go Pokes!) this summer and this was helpful.

Thank you! And welcome to our channel! We’ve had no issues with our F-250 carrying the Lance. We do feel a little body sway when turning off of curbs, but other than that the ride is pretty smooth.

Thanks! We have a Roku tv that just needs internet. If the campground doesn’t have good Wifi, we use our Netgear Hotspot. We also have a weBoost to help strengthen its signal.

Hello nice set up. What is the payload of your truck…? it looks like there is no sagging at all. Did you have to beef up your suspension or shocks
@thewaywedidit
@thewaywedidit Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Our payload is just under 3,300lbs, well above the weight of the camper, so we didn’t have to adjust the suspension. We did upgrade the stock Rancho Shocks to Fox 2.0 Shocks, not for payload issues but for a more comfortable ride on the washboard dirt roads out here in Colorado.

You guys are living my dream! My twin brother lives in Thorton CO and we have traveled up to Estes Park and the Rocky National Park a few times! ..Love Boulder as well!. My wife and I (Phoenix area) are looking to buy either a Lancer Camper for my truck (Ford f150) or get a Camper Van like a Mercedes 4x4 for all the reasons you guys mention for not getting a Trailer! Question, did you look at Camper vans? if so what made you choose a truck camper instead? and can/do you remove the truck camper for storage and use the truck with out the camper as a primary vehicle? IF so is that a pain or not too hard to do?...trying to decide on one of those two options...Looks like so much fun!..we also have 3 Labs so trying to figure out the sleeping arrangement for that!
@thewaywedidit

How exciting! Yes, we did look at camper vans. A few reasons why we chose a truck camper: Bathroom - we wanted a larger shower/toilet, and didn’t want to deal with a composting/cassette toilet. With our past travel trailer, we liked having a large holding tank that we could just dump when needed. Price - we couldn’t find a camper van in our price range, unless we purchased one that needed to be built out, which we knew we didn’t want to do. Primary Vehicle - this blends into your next question, we didn’t want a camper van to be our primary vehicle. When we are not camping, we do store the truck camper and use the truck as our primary vehicle (another perk is we only have to pay registration on the truck, just a few states require truck campers to be registered, and I don’t think Arizona is one of them) Our truck camper is not difficult to load/unload. The legs have automatic jacks, and use a remote control to raise and lower them. Unloading is super easy, loading did take us a little time to get used to, figuring out the best way to center the truck underneath it. But it gets easier each time. We hope all of this helps! Good luck on your search!!

Why use those kind of camper trucks who cannot be driven off road ??? It not seems the most clever option
@thewaywedidit
@thewaywedidit Жыл бұрын
It all depends on how you camp. For us, we don’t do a lot of camping that involves true off road trails. We do enjoy exploring Colorado’s forest service roads, which our truck camper handles perfectly.

I really enjoyed your video. Mother Earth has some amazingly beautiful places to share with us. I also was pleasantly surprised your meals were free of the flesh of the innocent. I have added a portion of the Essene Humane Gospel of Christ. Hope you enjoy it. Blessings. Yeshua Upholds The Pure Oblation And Clean Diet Of Man And Beast And it came to pass, in the course of Yeshua' travels, he came upon a place near Tiberias where can be found seven wells, and there a young man brought live rabbits and pigeons that he might eat as food with his companions. And Yeshua beholding the young man, looked upon him with much concern and said unto him: "I do perceive thou hast a good heart and God shall surely give thee the light of the law. But knowest thou not that God in the beginning gave man the fruits of the earth for food, and did not make him lower than the ape, or the ox, or the horse, or the sheep, that he should kill and eat the flesh and blood of his fellow creatures? "For in the beginning all beasts of the field and fowl of the air and the fishes of the sea, were as the ape, the ox, the horse, and the sheep-eating the green vegetation of the earth. But ye believe that Moses commanded such creatures to be slain and offered as a sacrifice unto God and eaten. Ye believe wrongly; ye do not know of temple oblations; for at no time did the True God delight in or demand flesh and blood offerings, but only the Pure Oblation the unbloody sacrifice of man's obedience to His Holy Law. "For Abel offered up the grains and fruits of the earth, but God required only Abel's keeping the holy law: for the pure oblation is from the heart of man, that he seeketh after truth and righteousness and pure worship of the Eternal All. "But I tell ye: Satan, the evil one, maketh the truth a lie, and giveth to the sons of man, flesh and blood, the burnt offering, the unholy law of evil doers, things that my Holy Father hateth and abhorreth. Know ye not, before ye standeth a one greater than even Moses! Yea, even the holy one, who Moses spake of is here and restoreth the truth of the law, that ail may for a certainty know that God is True and every man whosoever keepeth not the Holy Law is a liar. "For I tell ye, the holy Law of Moses and Adam are one; even as my Prophets spake unto Israel, I speak. The Holy Law changeth not, but evil men speak according to their desires of the flesh and lust after things unlawful. For of that, which ye offer unto God in purity, ye may eat of freely, for it is lawful, but of that kind which ye offer not in purity, shall ye not eat. The hour cometh when all sacrifices and blood feasts shall cease, and ye shall again worship God according to holy law and a pure oblation." And the young man marveled at Yeshua' words, for he knew not the likeness of them at any time, and he said unto Yeshua, "Ye speak much truth, I knoweth not before this day. Please, Lord, continue, I do believe ye come in the spirit of Moses." And Yeshua said unto him, "Ye listen well, may all peace be added unto ye. Now, let these innocent creatures go free, that they may rejoice in God and bring no blood guilt to any man." And the young man did as Yeshua told him, and did set the rabbits and pigeons free. And Yeshua helped the young man break their bonds and destroyed their cages. But lo, the frightened creatures feared lest they should again be taken captive and moved not away from them. But Yeshua spake unto them in a certain way, and told them they were free to move on. And the creatures of God did indeed obey Yeshua' voice and quickly departed in all gladness, free again to continue life. And the young man and some of his companions stayed on to listen to Yeshua' words. And at that same time as they sat by the well ...Yeshua stood up and cried out for all to hear: "If any are thirsty, let them come unto me and drink, for I will give to them of the waters of life freely. For they who believe in me, out of their hearts shall flow rivers of water, and that which is given unto them, shall they give even unto others with power, for their truth shall be as living waters to all that thirst, like a well from God, springing up into everlasting life for all that obey the Holy Laws."
