【Dai Onsen Nakajima Ryokan】
Dai Onsen is a quiet hot spring resort in the mountains of Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. It is called Hanamaki Onsenkyo (Hanamaki Hot Spring Village) together with Hanamaki Onsen, Osawa Onsen, and Namari Onsen.
The quality of the water in Taisen is sulfuric. Although the name "sulfur" is used, the water is clear, colorless, tasteless, odorless, and easy to get into.
Nakajima Ryokan is a four-story wooden ryokan with a pure Japanese style. This time we stayed in a special room on the fourth floor, called "Okina-no-Ma.
The building, which was designed by a temple carpenter, has a wonderful exterior presence, and the beautiful carvings inside the building and in the rooms convey the charm of a Japanese-style ryokan.
There are three bathhouses: "Mizuiwa-no-yu," which is a natural rock bath, a marble bath, and a family bath. The Mizuiwa-no-yu bathtub is a natural one hollowed out of bedrock and has a rough atmosphere, but it also has a graceful atmosphere with magnificent Western-style stone pillars.
