I watched a friend play this in a voice chat once, and this is honestly the most creative take on a Frisk/Chara fight that I’ve ever seen.

In case you didn't know, the room with the torches leading up to the secret boss is partially based on an unused room from Undertale. There will be a few more of those in Waterfall, and honestly, it's really cool how they reused those rooms!

That "Mirror Frisk" monster is actually a shapeshifter and a therapist! That's why the sign said something about a customer. It's basically a monster that shapeshifts into their "customer" and gives them a mini therapy session. Yep. That whole fight was a therapy session. So basically Frisk just got free therapy lol,

17:38 the moment I heard that first note I knew exactly what song this was. This is an old unused song called “Star” in undertale, and I have a special love for it without a huge reason for why. I’m glad to see this mirror monster therapist thing being given this theme, as well as that banger battle theme

Oh hey, I made the mirror frisk battle. Love seeing first reactions to it, probably one of the more ambitious things I’ve done. A few things that were missed: - if you flee while the background is active, it becomes distorted with the music. - killing it results in a unique death animation. Also I recommend doing the fight again during genocide, it ramps up quite a bit.

The fact that some of the random things said in the text box are from interacting with nothing in Earthbound is such a little detail and I love it

Funny thing, if you betray Mirror Frisk in the end it creates a very long attack until you die, so for your betrayal you betrayed nobody but yourself

To answer your question about the deeper meaning of Sans' line: ''forgetting something'', there's one spectacular fan theory I have thought of. We already know that Flowey stalks us throughout our journey. Specifically pivotal moments such as puzzles, and encounters with the main characters... ... and Sans would be no different than that as he is aware of what kind of tricks Sans has underneath his smiley mask. After all, Flowey has done every possible outcome... including fighting with Sans. That is why Flowey would still be in the case of ''Stalking'' while you are in Grillby with Sans. Now with Sans: He already has a fair share of Deja Vu about Flowey from previous timelines, though, just blurry burning memories. Yet, he knows that telling boldly would be just playing a gamble with low chances. He doesn't like the chance of taking a risk so he goes with this plan: Normally, hearing Sans from your perspective doesn't affect the flow of dialogue so much. These two lines are pivotal to the plot: ''*oh yeah, I wanted to ask you something.'' ''*by the way... I was going to say something, but I forgot.'' Now, none of these makes ''Sans'' as there's a huge chunk of already cryptic dialogue laid up onto your perspective. But if you cut the dialogue he made under the spotlight, assumingly his time-stop. It reads out like this: ''*oh yeah, I wanted to ask you something.'' ... ''*welp, that was a long break.'' ''*I can't believe I let ya pull me away from work that long.'' ''*oh by the way... I'm flat broke. can you foot the bill?'' ''*it's just 10000G.'' ''*just kidding. grillby, put it on my tab.'' ''*by the way... I was going to say something, but I forgot.'' Basically, this was entirely planned out by Sans to deceive everyone, by everyone, specifically Flowey. Leading Flowey to think that he's not pulling any strings under his sleeve and just casually blabbering about daily stuff. Even Flowey's after-ending dialogue doesn't have any parts which berate you for telling Sans about your awareness, He obliviously only warns you about Sans as he didn't hear any of these. This actually applies to the original Undertale iteration as well. I hope you enjoyed my short theory. Thanks for reading!

It's a very neat little thing honestly. This game just never ceases to surprise me with some of it's originality.

I can't wait to see the Cowboy Hat, it will look soooo good on Frisk! Edit: I think the battle against the refection was something that this special pink crystal does, it makes you confront yourself, literally, as a fight... So maybe that sign talking about costumers is about all monsters coming there to confront themselves and feel better when they need to (I really liked the idea so just wanted to add this here :3)

Ugh... I forgot we did the sans dialogue on the echo flower... That's not really correct, because the "QUICHE" sans made is a sugary, non-egg pie. The abandoned quiche is a quiche (spinach egg pie) Oh! Also! about Mirror Frisk, it is an acient shapeshifting monster that transforms into its 'client' as a sort of therapy service. However, if multiple people go at once, it kinda goes crazy... Hence the fight. Frisk is simultaneously one person and two people (Chara's essence given life inside their SOUL through determination) so it got confused. You may also notice its overworld sprite is not BnP Frisk, it's original UNDERTALE Frisk.

During Genocide, Mirror Frisk has an entirely different spare route. also if you try to betrayal kill it it pulls a sans and does an impossible attack so that’s funny.

5:06 I learned what this line means just a few hours ago. Sans said he wanted to ask us something _before_ he stopped time. But since the other patrons couldn't possibly notice this, Sans says he forgot what he was going to ask us after he restarts time so that they don't notice the hole in your conversation. In other words, the thing he "forgot" to ask us, was truly just the inquiry involving the *talking flower.*

Another again: The echo flower saying "Dum dee dum" has Asgore's voice, the next too, guess you understood.

Hey Merg! Been loving the Bits & Pieces playthrough but I was wondering if you were gonna check out any Omori mods at some point (a mod I'd suggest is Reverie, it adds a post good ending story and it works really well), I hope you do because I'd love to see it but anyways enjoy the game!

The date with Sans always reminds me Merg’s videos and Papyrus have some similarities I don’t know what exactly though, cool video by the way

I have the undertale art book and I can say that a lot of the bits and pieces mod is adding old ideas that got cut, I think its really cool.

That Mirror fight was trippy. Awesome as a fight, but I'm still really unclear on the lore behind it. I like the tie in to the random pink crystal the cheese is stuck in (basically just giving the crystal a reason to be there, implying Waterfall has gemstone mines) but maybe I need to see the other routes to get a better idea. The line "who are you running from?" was downright freaky, very in line with Undertale. Oh, and "no problem here." is a reference to Earthbound! I think I have found one of my very few criticisms of this mod: as cool as the red outline on Frisk is when danger approaches, referencing Kris in Deltarune, it really cheapens a lot of the scenes with Undyne. I'm assuming people who play this mod will have already played Undertale so I guess it doesn't matter, but the scene where Undyne is looking for you in the tall grass feels awkward because we as the audience can clearly see Frisk and not the tall grass we're hiding in, and then especially the scene when Undyne grabs "Frisk" in the grass but actually grabs Monster Kid, you lose the edge because we can clearly see Frisk isn't being affected or hiding or running or anything. Just a very small nitpick of mine, which is a huge kudos to the creators. Also this isn't important at all, but I don't know why everyone assumes the Abandoned Quiche was Sans'. Papyrus explicitly says that the "quiche" Sans tried baking (not cooking, baking) was filled with a "sugary, _non egg_ substance." The Abandoned Quiche's description says it's made with eggs. Sans was most likely baking a pie (because of Toriel) and either because he did it so terribly or because Papyrus only knows cooking and not baking, Papyrus assumed it was a quiche.

You can fight the reflection in genocide, but instead of shield it makes you deal more damage the less hp you have.

That "who are you talking to?" is from Earthbound if you choose the talk option when no one is there The "Who are you running from" maybe be a reference to a creepy line from the Gameboy Camera, where if you keep chosing a certain option it shows an uncanny picture of someone's face with the line "Who are you running from?" And, of course, the music in the overworld area is a scrapped song called Star, which actually uses the soundfont of Star Fox on the Super Nintendo.
