This gentleman knows his stuff. I own this unit myself. Think of it like your own “personal cameraman”. I brought mine with me on a two week trip to the British Virgin Islands. I had a number of opportunities to have this small drone with me where I simply wouldn’t have been able to deal with any other type of drone. There is no dedicated handset required. No GPS to set up. It’s tiny and confuses other people who think its just a toy. Actually it turned into a really nice conversation piece at several points. It was WELL worth the price of admission, and now I will be actually IN so many more videos with my wife that otherwise would have had me “behind the lens” while taking them!

Current firmware is 7.2.0 & allows you to change to manual mode from a pre programed flight without landing. It's awesome

I picked one up and two extra batteries about a month ago. Wanting to start travel vlogging with this and a DJI Action 4. I still eventually want a real aerial drone like a Mini 4 Pro, but this will get me shots that will work great for me, and just so simple and compact. I love it and think it is a great value, especially with the app and manual modes that let's me get landscape shots without being in the shot. I would like longer battery life, gps location and 4k, but it's an amazing little camera drone.

No. It works like an optical mouse, watching the ground below. Water would confuse it, so the instructions clearly state not to fly over water, It's also not waterproof. I still love mine :)

The worst thing is that even if you access manual mode during an emergency landing, you cannot take off again because there is no takeoff button.

This is all great isn't it? But is anyone ACTUALLY READING the user agreement disclaimer for you to use this drone??? You are basically giving away all your footage and usage logs to the manufacturer for them to use, manipulate and even sell all of your captures! What kind of insanity is this? How can this even be for real or be legal? How products like this exist and are allowed to be sold? Tell you what, I don't touch these made-in-China gadgets even if they were give to me for free plus with a million dollars on top!
