My first experience with the series was when I read the Carnival book in fifth grade. I was so fascinated by it because it was the first kid’s book I’d read that wasn’t afraid to just be dark and unnerving for the hell of it.

I remember being excited to get this for my birthday on PC. Then I found out that the ps2 version was way more fun. The PC version, while having you start on the beach ( closer to the book) and adding in more areas, it was much more puzzle based. You didn't get all the fun weapons like you did in the console version.

I loved this game as a kid....I hope they aren't too harsh...

Played this with my mom back in the mid 2000s, on a PS2 with no memorycard, we left the console on for like a week beating the game together in an empty ass room with only a TV and the PS2 whilst we were in the middle of moving out of our home. Best memories as a child figuring out everything together.

I remember how hard the level was where you had to kill the henchmen with your peppermint popper and Id always gets my older bro to help me 😂 Good times

I have just finished this game, no nostalgia involved, no nothing. Just first time playing as an adult. It's honestly a good game. Some mechanics are creatively done with quite high quality. The different scenarios, challenges variations, etc... I've really enjoyed it!

the concept of the story could be a good idea for a video game if it is done right. there was a clear protagonist and antagonist in it and the siblings have their own specialties and traits. there are plenty of side characters in it. maybe a mass effect rpg style.

The fact about how many comentaries you have in short time is just one of the prooves that this is a great channel. Thanks Mind Pulp, thanks...

I LOVED the book series growing up and I loved the film too. I played this growing up. I always had problems with the peppermint shooting section. I only got through it a handful of times and each time I felt honoured to finish the game afterwards. Also I've been meaning to watch the Netflix series but I keep forgetting that it exists.

I actually enjoyed the heck out of this game as a kid. And even now, it doesn't look so bad.

Man, i ended up reading nearly all these books I swear, a third are just Jimmy Neutron where they have an obnoxiously "smart" way to defeat count olaf or get out of their crappy foster family (since thats basically what each book revolves around, them going to some weird distant family member for some reason and screwing up life for everyone there)

This honestly gives me the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe vibes....which you both should absolutely play

I read the books as a kid growing up, I remember going to see the Jim Carey film in cinema with my mum and was so disappointed, the actors they had were great for their roles it was just where they missed things from the books and mashed the ending of book 1 to the end of the film for some stupid reason. The ps 2 game was really fun I played it so many times, but the Netflix adaptation was the best by far, just perfect, good actors who play up their roles well and it focused more along the books

You'd think after being chased and attacked by their murderous uncle for 12 books or whatever, violet would have "invented" an improvized explosive to fix that problem.

oh man! I haven't played this game in years! I almost had it beat, but for the part where the baby was trying to slide down the pipes. My TV (at the time) was so dark i could't see the obstacles in the way so i kept dying.

That level with the shooting part was hard for me(also play increds rise of underminer(I heard that is Sh!tty and licensed so it is good for your channel (I think)))
