I preached like that for more than 20 years and have been turned away by many denominations. I'm a lone street preacher, but I love it. " A prophet is not without honor but among his own people and family". Jesus loves me but people are dying and going to hell when they think they're going to heaven. Saint's and sinners are marching together for social justice but not spiritual revival. Pastor Washer, keep on tellin it like it is from the WORD, and stay in prayer for me. Street preaching is dying out because many believer's will not accept it as part of the ministry.

@@Trialbyfire9 When I minister in the prison, many brothers say the same thing. I'm struggling with an addiction, AM I Saved? I tell them they're trying to "GET" something God has ALREADY given. 1 Cor. 15:58 ... but thanks be to God that GIVETH us the VICTORY (talking about over sin and death). We 'ALREADY' have the victory, we got to be dead to ourselves and by faith live it. We're "ALREADY" delivered. Col. 1:13 .. "who (God the Father) HATH (past tense) delivered us from the power of Satan (darkness), and HATH (past tense) translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Praise God in the highest.

@@Trialbyfire9 consuming your mind is different then consuming your heart. Are you reading the Bible daily. I have found in my own experience that the more I had read and prayed, the more the desire went away. Yes, we are repent but 1 John 1-8 always is there in the Bible. Paul preaches justification by obedience not by grace and that is a mortal sin. Galatians 2-21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: For it righteousness comes by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN...Washer denies the reason of the BLOOD of Jesus and that is human pride that will take people to Hell...
@Damtan018 жыл бұрын
no he preaches purification through the Holy Spirit. Here is the problem of men. Do you resist the Holy Spirit or do you live in the Holy Spirit? He preaches that you have to live in the Holy Spirit. Also many confuse the Faith for believing that there is a God and that he died for our sins. nothing more. The Gospel is, that God has turned to us and has taken over everything (believe in Jesus and repent). That is the better covenant. But if you are ignorant of that and you won´t believe that everthing is laid upon Jesus, then how can the Holy Spirit work in you since you are resisting him. If you are sinning and have the Holy Spirit in you and believe in the promise of God that he will give us a new Heart and will write his law on it, you will see that you can´t do anything to get away from this sin then believe in this promise. You will cry out with a broken heart to him. And you should do it till his work is finished. (this is hating sin)
@farchapter0018 жыл бұрын
Paul washer is not teaching salvation through works. He agrees with you on grace based salvation, but how to know you truly believe in the grace of God is shown by your life. You are saying he is preaching works, where? I can only see that he emphasizes that people are saved by grace, seen by their works. If you see all of the videos that he puts up, you know that he says that people accuse him of works based salvation and he denies he teaches that
@stephensdygert76007 жыл бұрын
Lonny Vogt Wrong! The instant God saves you the Holy Spirit "quickens" you from unbelief to belief one time.All past-present-and future sins by the Gospel of the Grace of God are washed away by the blood of the resurrected Christ who was "made" sin for you. He knew no sin that you would be made the righteousness of God in him.Under the Law of Moses and the gospel of the kingdom program to Israel, they had to repent- confess- and bring the apropiate sacrafice. DON'T Mix Pauls message with the rest of the Bible, its radically different. The whole bible is "For" you! However you must "rightly divide" the word.Romans-Philemon is written "To" and about" you.Understand God's holiness doesn't change! How he reveals and to whom he reveals it to does change!!!!!!

You poor tormented soul. What can you DO the second time around that you did not do when you first believed? Will you just get tossed onto another religious treadmill? the Question is not did I fail? The question is "Did Jesus fail?" Agree with Him TETELESTAI. Agree with "It is finished' If you do not feel like you are on the firm foundation of eternal salvation then do you think you can work your way on to that foundation? What you going to do? Give more? Pray more? Read more Bible & sermons? Study more? Do more Christian stuff? Walk the altar again and again? Get baptized all over again & again until the fish memorize the logo on your Jeans? It is one thing to work from a firm foundation & it is altogether another problem to try to build a foundation on the sand. If you are truly in the faith know that God no longer sees your failures he sees the cross! He separated our sins from us! As far as the east is from the west! According to psalms... Know that through the power of the gospel you have been set free from the bondage of sin. If you are in the faith. Read Romans 6, Jesus died and now lives unto God. So now die to self, be crucified with him and live with him. Know that God would have you to live a life that seeks him and abstains from sin. Is that to be saved? No! Salvation is by grace through faith, but may our life never be a stumbling block to others! Live for him for all he has done for us! God Bless!

This is exactly what Churches should be preaching. Not comfortable gospel, but one that acts like a mirror that will cause us to see our own reflection of who we are and what we ought to be, according to the Word of God. I want the Truth that will convict me and make me hunger only for the things of God.
@honeycomb92737 жыл бұрын
Pam Mubuta You don't want a comfortable gospel, but one that will act like a mirror to see your own reflection of who you are and what you ought to be. I thought like that for years, I kept looking in the mirror and saw who I was and where I was falling short, there was much condemnation all the time, I wasn't praying enough, I wasn't witnessing enough, much condemnation, thought about God continually, lived in a fear fealing I wasn't good enough. I asked God to lead me into all truth and suddenly I realized it's not about me, It never was, it's all about him(Jesus) now when I look in the mirror I see Jesus, I see myself perfect in him. I have a joy I never had, I now can come into God's presence like Adam, the veil is rent in Twain, I have access to God. I don't have to dwell on how I look in the mirror, I follow Jesus in love, and see him in the mirror every day. I have entered into his rest, have peace with God and have no condemnation, as I walk in the spirit and don't fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The apostle Paul said having begun in the spirit are you now made perfect by the flesh. I had started in the spirit, just as I am without one plea, then tried to add on the works of the flesh, it got me nowhere, just running in circles. Now I walk in the spirit and let Christ work through me acording to his will, I have entered into his rest. The biggest job a true Christian has is to remain in his rest and not get caught away doing God's work for him. He has called us into his rest. In the law we were to love the Lord with all our hearts and all our soul and all our mind. In the new covenant John says, it's not that we loved him, it's that God loved us, a complete reversal, under the law it was about us doing, in the grace age it's all about Christ, he gets all the glory.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITY TO YOURSELF IS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE AN INTIMATE SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD BY WAY OF THE BIBLE...THEN YOU'LL NOT BE TOSSED TO AND FRO BY EVERY WINDED DOCTRINE! WITH ALL DO RESPECT TO THE WELL MEANING PREACHER...I WONDER IF HE HIMSELF WOULD BE ABLE TO SWALLOW THESE VERSES. THIS SINCE HE TALKED ABOUT HIS SERMON MAKING ANGRY SO MANY. HERE IT IS: ACTS 7 47 But Solomon built him an house. 48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? 50 Hath not my hand made all these things? 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Hebrews 9 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: True Believers BELIEVE THE BIBLE! NOT MAN! ACTS 17 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; JOHN 15 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. JOHN 17 9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. WE CANNOT KEEP GOD'S COMMANDMENTS OF OUR OWN WILL...OUR SINFUL ADDICTED NATURE WILL NOT HAVE US TO "EXAMINE" OURSELVES! YES, LIKE THE ENTIRE BIBLE GOD SAYS KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS...BUT WE CAN'T...NOT WITHOUT HIM! THIS IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS..THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST, THAT COMES TO US BY THE WORD OF GOD. IN ADAM...WE HAVE ALREADY BROKEN THE LAW AND HAVE FALLEN FROM THE GRACE OF GOD...WE HAVE BEEN SEPARATED BY A VERY DEEP AND WIDE RIFT BETWEEN US AND GOD! THIS IS THE REASON GOD SENT HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST: Romans 3 19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the >>> righteousness of God>s manifested,> by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:>WAIT

I am attending a church which is growing exponentially and everything seems fine. God has blessed this church but I don't want to go there anymore. My wife doesn't understand that I don't want the loud music or the light show or the smoke machines. I need a real church that preaches the truth. I asked the Holy Spirit to guide my ways and my mouth about 3 or 4 months ago and I am walking like a new man today. I repent often during the day because my mind wanders and my speech is not perfect. Thank you pastor Paul. I need to edit this in; my wife is a feminist, she will deny it of course but if you knew her like I do then you would see a very no, EXTREMELY hard woman. I stay with her because I made a vow back in 1972 to be faithful in good times and in bad, however she is a hard woman to love. You wrote this 2 years ago, but I’m only seeing this now, and I’m curious how things are going now? I think sometimes how God allows us to observe others imperfections so that we can see how amazing his love is toward us. I mean, if it’s hard to love your own wife, imagine how hard it is for God to love you (no offense intended). These are things I ponder anyway. Then, when I’m humbled, I think about the amazing love of God and I see that it’s nothing like how I love people based on their performance. I want to love like God loves, that’s my prayer for today anyway and I thought I’d share that with you.

Paul Washer preaches justification by human obedience not through the Holy Blood of Jesus. Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ IS DEAD IN VAIN... We are to do good works but but we still sinners before our Holy Father. Only does that honor the Blood of Jesus will be saved...Washer is good man but the preaching is very wrong...Only by grace through the BLOOD of Jesus...Amen! Self-righteousness is condemned throughout the Bible (Ezekiel 33:13; Romans 3:27; Titus 3:5), we are, in fact, commanded to do good works. Paul explained that we cannot do anything to save ourselves, but our salvation comes only as a result of God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Then he proclaimed that “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10; see also 2 Corinthians 3:5). Our salvation is not the result of any of our efforts, abilities, intelligent choices, personal characteristics, or acts of service we may perform. However, as believers, we are “created in Christ Jesus for good works”-to help and serve others. While there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation, God’s intention is that our salvation will result in acts of service. We are saved not merely for our own benefit but to serve Christ and build up the church (Ephesians 4:12). This reconciles the seeming conflict between faith and works. Our righteous acts do notproduce salvation but are, in fact,evidence of our salvation (James 1:22;2:14-26). In the end, we must recognize that even our righteous acts come as a result of God within us, not of ourselves. On our own, our “righteousness” is simply self-righteousness, and vain, hypocritical religion produces nothing more than “filthy rags
@fabiancrizon60248 жыл бұрын
Paul washer is talking about the effects of salvation on a human being. If the person is truly born again, and the Holy Spirit lives in that person, the effects of this wonderful event will be evident by the fruits this life produces, which means a life surrendered to the will of God, and in a constant process of sanctification (remember, the Holy Spirit is Holy, and He can produce nothing but Holiness in the life of the person He lives in). This is not salvation by works, which is imposible, it is the evidence of real salvation in a person. If there is no real evidence of this work of God, made posible by the Blood of Jesus, by His sacrifice, and by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in a persons life, then there is nothing, merely an empty profesion based on lies. The danger is to afirm people in that lie, and keep them there. The enemy disguises himself as an angel of light. Only the truth can set you free.

Man In The Wilderness Faith without works is dead. be doers an not hears only. show me your faith an I'll show you my works or deeds by my works. Salvation only occurs after death,and only for those who lived righteously after accepting Christ - it is impossible to be “saved” while still in this life, which is a false doctrine Christ directly states that you must endure to the end before salvation can be applied to your life - Matthew 24:13 We are saved by Christ's grace, but only after being judged by our works - Titus 3:5, Titus 1:16, Rev. 22:12-14 Perform the Lord’s statutes even until the end - Psalms 119:112 Worldly people despise Christ's true plan of salvation and dangerously invent their own - 1 Cor. 1:19-29 We save ourselves by pondering the doctrine and doing it - 1 Timothy 4:16

I agree with you but believe that holiness is taught. The issue is that they are given false concepts on the subject

Madame Poovie sorry but you are wrong. the church was divide because of false doctrine introduced into the roman Catholic church. the othordox church and the coptic churches have kept more if the early church traditions. if you read church history you will find that the western Catholic church has change many of the doctrines of the early church. promoted racism and sexism. the crusades and inquisition and many other acts are examples. yhe catholic encyclopedia. itself bares proof. not to mention idol worship etc. the governed the west not all christianity.
@carlbrib267 жыл бұрын
Madame Poovie i have a bible as a matter of fact more than one and i read them. i am thankful the bible was canonized but it was pre roman Catholic that did it not the roman Catholic church. by reading the bible i know that mary was not a virgin her whole life. it is because of my bible i know the false doctrine of praying to mary and saints is wrong. again the orthodox church split from rome because of it pope heresy. know what the bible says and read church history. then talk about heresy. no man can forgive sin only God through Christ Jesus. penance is about finding salvation through works. Bibles teaches it is only through Christ Jesus . in the first alter call they were told repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus not become member of rome. know truth and then talk to me. if you want to discuss God's word i am cool with that but if you want to slander or lash out don't bother. if you read your bible and real history you will know so much more. in rome bishops battled each other and replace each other and sometimes by force so again i will not call you name or a heratic. i will say learn of christ . many protestant churches preach false christianity also. so my loyalty is to God and His word and those who are call according to His purpose. not rome. not luther. not Calvin. but like i said learn history and seek truth then we can talk. this guy's message from what i heard is on point and truth. false teaching has always been around and now it rules the day.

I only have one thing to say about Catholicism: Calling a priest or the pope "Father" THESE ARE THE WORDS OUT OF JESUS' MOUTH Matthew 23:9 And you must not call anyone here on earth "Father", because you have only the ONE Father which is in Heaven.

Boy oh man, every time I go to hear Paul Washer it reminds me of having that feeling when you're about to go before the principal and your so afraid of what he's gonna say. While the words of judgement are being pounded into you like an avalanche you know that you're wrong and he's very right. Then, when its over and you are free of the ranting and raving there comes a sense of peace both because well it's over now, but also because there is HOPE, and its actual real HOPE. It is hope because now that the light has been shed on what is wrong you see that it can be fixed, dealt with, taken care of, confronted and overcome. That you are still in control of your destiny and have been sobered up and put back in the driver seat. Now you can direct your path again. What's great about that is this time you have that much more knowledge and while nothing can be done about the past, much can be done about the future. I feel sorry for the person that watches this and feels no conviction and even more sorry for the one that wants to criticise and bad mouth Paul Washer for his harsh manner of speaking. To me this is love for fellow men that I know I needed. God bless Paul Washer. Praise and glory to Jesus the Christ and Lord of my life Amen Amen Amen

Paul Washer is a man of God. He preaches with so much passion and does not give us a watered down version of the Gospel. Salvation is a SERIOUS issue, in fact the acceptance or rejection of it, is the most important decision a person can make. Paul Washer's sermons anger many because of the truth contain therein..some people want to be made comfortable in their sins... both professing believers and unbelievers. This sermon should wake us all up from our slumber. Jesus is waiting, call on Him, obey Him. He love us so much. But we must make sure of our profession of faith.

Madame Poovie ..... first... the catholic " church" did not put together the new testament... in fact, they barely understand it because they still follow old testament law and ritual.... secondly, I would like for you to show me in the bible.. where it says that catholics are the only ones to interpret scripture... You will not find that anywhere. The catholic catechism is man made doctrine that in many ways makes up rules and ideas that are not found in the bible...

Powerful! Love this message. I was married to a man for twenty six years who divorced me to marry a Christian woman he met on a dating site. When our son told me he was on a dating site, my husband told me, “I can date because I divorced you in my “heart” years ago.” He even introduced her to our children while he was married to me. Not sure what bible he was reading. He is “happy” now he tells me and our kids. He’s all for divorce too. Anyway, he actually believes grace covers him and he could divorce me to marry this woman. Who speaks up nowadays?? No one because people love one another and acceptance of one another more than Christ! I love Christ more than anything in this world. Praise Christ because all my trials have brought me closer and deeper to Him. He is good when we submit to Him. His Word won’t come back void. Don’t submit to your hearts people. Submit to His Word. He won’t fail You.

+BruceInVB thank you brother. I appreciate the point that pastor washer and others are trying to get across but instilling doubt in the heart of a Christian is trully terrifying. I remember when I asked Christ into my life and for months after that I would feal like I was being attacked w thoughts of doubt as to whether I was truly saved and that I didn't do it right constantly filling my head. I asked my pastor about it and he said it was BC I had walked out on the spiritual battlefield and that I was being attacked by Satan. Satan using doubt to shake my faith, a terrifying experience. that what this kind of talk does to me. I shouldn't let it get to me the way I do but, its hard
@DavidTheCurious8 жыл бұрын
+derek melton It's hard because the doctrine of guilt is preached so prolifically. The American culture of business and self sufficiency has infiltrated the church so extensively that we just can't see any way that being still can result is something good. We have to go, go, go always doing doing doing in order to insure (not ensure) our salvation. We should all fear God and His judgement. Not to meet a mans standard, but His. Purging ourselves of sinful behavior is important because it pleases God and is part of sanctification. HOWEVER...overcoming sin is the result of trusting the work of the Holy Spirit in you as you walk in a loving relationship with Jesus. Whether you are saved or not, you will never possess the power to overcome sin without God. It's always His work. Keep seeking God.
@noneofyourbusiness11618 жыл бұрын
+BruceInVB so are you saying that if something said to you causes you to be afraid of God and His judgments that it is a demonic doctrine? As for the thief, have you considered that the guilty man hanging beside the Lord was keenly aware of his sin, and desperately sorry for it? Hanging there moments before death, wishing with everything he had that he could have another chance and if he did he would abhor that very same sin that put him there? And the Christ, aware of that man's penitent and contrite heart, had no need of telling him of his faults, but rather, in love, gave him hope because of that penitence and contrition of that heart?
@DavidTheCurious8 жыл бұрын
I find all of these theological conversations very interesting. I think that preachers should be calling our relationship with Jesus to our attention regularly, and forcefully so that we don't become lulled back into the arms of the world and it's illusions. Where I get off track is when we begin to make demands of others. Why is it that the Holy Spirit is adequate to maintain and work in OUR lives but not others? It seems to me that sin is like bad breath. You can't smell your own. We should be more eager to walk next to brothers and sisters we know than to point out the glaring deficiencies in the lives of people we don't know. You see, being engaged in the lives of those we are immediately involved with honors God's assignment for us in the community we are in. My guess is that if we focused on serving folks in our community, we would have a significantly diminished compulsion to argue with each other over the imagined sin in the lives of those we don't know Just a thought or two.
@noneofyourbusiness11618 жыл бұрын
A couple of very good thoughts! I think most people probably find it easier to make an attempt at admonishing people they do not know, and most likely because they (the truly regenerated but still not mature) don't know how to deal with the problem of people in their communities knowing their past mistakes or current struggles. Unfortunately not a lot of people have been discipled or take on the task of providing discipleship. As you said, pastors should be calling for their congregation to examine themselves,as well as helping them with that task. If these 2 things happened more frequently in the lives of Christians negative responses to sermons like this one would be less frequent.
