There was an old hardcover collection of Sherlock Holmes which I used to read over and over as a kid. We also had Professor Challenger collection that I loved. And just for the heck of it, I've also read Bengali translations of all the Sherlock stories.

Any Australian Sherlock Holmes fans might like to check out Sherlock Holmes The Australian Casebook, which is an illustrated book featuring stories set during a visit by Holmes and Watson to Australia. I have it on my TBR but haven't got to it yet.

Nicholas Meyer and Kareem Abdul Jabbar have written good S.H. books. Also Anthony Horowitz of Foyle's War fame.

Thank you for this, Steve. I actually came to reading Sherlock Holmes via the old Doctor Who series after reading about some influences on the 3rd and 4th Doctor stories. I loved the Jeremy Brett adaptations in the 80s.
