Our deacon, in his homily, said that some catholic theologian said that when the Arkangel Gabriel came to announce the good news to Mary, all of heaven held its breadth to see what Mary's answer would be. It's just beautiful imagining it.

A few minutes before seeing your comment I posted a video on facebook,The Angelus and said this: 'For those suffering from sleep paralysis, nightmares that you can feel/see but you can't awake from, The Angelic Salutation along with Sacramental Confession will deter the Incubus or Succubus, some theologians think that these two sexual demons may be just one, bisexual, able to turn itself into male or female, depending on whom they are attacking, lot of speculation on this subject. Not paying attention to this problem can cause the dreamer to become afflicted with deteriorating health, impaired mental state or worse, death. The Angelus is usually recited at 6AM, 12 noon and 6PM, apparently this small prayer has the power to fight off these demons that cannot be exorcised, sacramentals do not seem to fizz them, but this prayer will deter them and eventually obliterate them, good night!' @@grmalinda6251 I think it is normal to feel some anger when someone you love is being talked down to or not treated with the respect they fully deserve. Especially when that someone is Perfect and full of Love and Grace (The Blessed Virgin Mary) The Mother of God and My Mother! I do turn my thoughts to Jesus and The Blessed Mother because it breaks my heart, and pray for Francis conversion. Ave Maria 🌹

Redemption without Mary could have been possible as nothing is impossible to God. But it's because God chose Mary in His divine plan, and Mary's fiat, makes her all what she is. What God is by nature, Mary is by Grace. What Mary gained through Humility, Lucifer lost through Pride. Ave Maria.

@@grmalinda6251, God is always respectful of us, lowly creatures, but the idea of that statement is that He COULD have come to us any way. However, He chose to enter into our lives by becoming a simple Son of our Blessed Virgin Queen and "step"-Son of Saint Joseph.

Almighty God gave His Son to Mary for us as Saviour and Son gave His Mother Mary for us as Mother. Such an Unconditional Sacrificial Love none can get elsewhere.

There are some who believe that Jesus still would have become man, even if we had never sinned; but, His taking on of flesh took on an even greater meaning, because of the added sacrifice and passion, as a result of our sins. This is the view that I hold. It shows that God accomplishes His will no matter how much evil tries to prevent it. Think about this. Man sinning, would have in a natural sense, attempted to prevent God from becoming man - since He needed an immaculate portal. And He still found away to accomplish it. How amazing is that?

As Catholic we are the mystical body of Christ so we are all co redeemers with Jesus. Co doesn’t mean equal as fundamentalists will say,(some will know that),ultimately it’s only Jesus who saves but he wants are participation to. So how much more Our Blessed Mother! Please read what his Holiness Pope Benedict XV,(1914-22),said about Mary’s beautiful role in our redemption-what he said was an infallible statement. God bless all protestants who lose out on so much simply because they are protestant! Praise Jesus and Mary always!!!

I have really enjoyed this channel for some time now and watch it almost daily. It saddens me to see the current changes though. The constant adds interrupting every few minutes and now resorting to click bait titles doesn't resonate with what the channel has stood for up till now. There nothing shocking about this video, it was a beautiful sermon and did not need the click bait title. Please God the admin will not go down the route of making their priority centre around money and viewer numbers, because personally this is turning me away from the channel. I understand there are costs that need to be met, but if you put your trust in God to provide He will do so.

As Mary is the mother of Christ the King, she is the "queen mother". We see in 1Kings 2:19-20 how Solomon ordered a throne set on his right for his mother and told her she can ask anything of him. Jesus would do the same. The Transfiguration shows us Jesus talking with Moses and Elijah(both considered dead- yet obviously alive and witnessed by Peter, James, and John. So, we know Jesus's promise of eternal life is true. He rose from the grave. He called others back from the grave. When we pray to saints, we know they are not "dead" but like the cloud of witnesses very close to Jesus. Thank you.

Personally, I find this 'way of thinking' a very base way of characterizing; 'Thee Blessed Virgin Mary'. She was NEVER self-reflecting...She was ALWAYS in rapt marvelling of God, and His Trinity of persons. It simply is not elevated enough for THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. You are right in saying; 'This is a SHOCKING note.' Go higher...MUCH higher...there is SUCH a wealth of ponderings on The Blessed Mother of God and we stop here on Her especial day?

Fr. You are not skating on thin ice, because by God descending into Mary’s virginal womb, to redeem mankind, she was nature’s “ wonderful singular boast” as she lived the Commandment to love God with all your strength, all your mind and all your heart and your neighbor as yourself most perfectly and Divine love fused itself to the perfection of Holy love with the perfect trust and cooperation of Mary. She is the exemplar par excellence of, Jesus came to save man, but not without our cooperation. She was made necessary by God, and perfect conformity, Union and immersion in God occurred in Most Holy Mary!

Proclaiming the truth and traditional dogma of the Catholic Church that Our Blessed Mother is co-redemptrix is not making her a goddess! It is simply giving her the rightful honor to which her suffering for us merits. Learn your faith!

Admittedly, I have persistent trouble in accepting the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. If Mary was truly perfect and sinless from the moment of her conception, then how could she ever have denied God's request to be the Theotokos? By being Immaculate, Mary is then turned into a kind of holy automaton who can never do anything but the will of God. Her humility is rendered moot because she could never be anything but humble. It's not out of normal human free will that she chooses Christ because she is already so far removed and elevated from the rest of humanity. To accept her role on behalf of all humanity rings hollow if she is already exclusively perfect and holy in a way the rest of humanity can never be. Edit: Also, the argument of this Orthodox priest on this matter made a lot of sense. He said that if Mary was such a perfect creature, then Christ could not have fully shared in our humanity since He inherited His humanity from Mary, who was already singularly beyond and above all humans. Christ could not have been full God and full man if His humanity were derived from someone who was from all eternity unblemished by sin and as close to God as a creature can be. His humanity would be diminished in this case.
