Hi, I’m Nick and this is a show about Art. This show is all about your art and your creations. Every episode is different but every episode will challenge you to try new things, learn new stuff and become a better creator. Oh, and let’s inspire and encourage each other through it all. Let’s get into it!
Hi! Welcome to my new series - A Show About Art! I created this series as a way of inspiring myself and others to keep creating art. So many times, artists tell me that they have trouble thinking of things to draw next - sometimes they get bored of the way they draw and sometimes they just don’t know where to start with new materials.
From personal experience, it can definitely feel very intimidating to try new things like digital art, watercolours and oil paints for the first time! The goal of this show is to tackle these everyday artist problems together!

I love the show! I love the challenges (even if I don't participate in them all) and I love learning a new style or about a new artist, and I really like the part at the end when you demonstrate how you take your art & digitize it for RedBubble. Another part that I really like is that it's not perfect. You watch some other art videos and they edit it so much that it's flawless. They say everything perfect, draw things perfect, and it makes me feel eternally hopeless. But you show that you are human and learning right along with us and I like that!

Thanks! :) Awesome! I'm glad the digitising segments are appreciated and valued :) Haha it pays off being a learning artist too! I also dislike when artists put something together so easily and don't show experimentation or vulnerability in their creativity and process. I'll keep that in there too :)

Man I would love to see your channel come back! It’s very evident you have passion. That of which could be a spark of inspiration to set New artists in the right direction! I felt it!

Thanks for the feedback Garrison! I'll come back to KZfaq one day after I've achieved a couple of other life goals. Is there anything you'd particularly like to see or any feedback to improve the shows format etc? :)

ImportAutumn Well, the format of your videos are great! Although personally I love diving into philosophical aspects. Trying to decipher meaning from multiple perspectives. Like “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Although a visual masterpiece could be a life long story in that regard! So the best way to present those stories and perspectives would likely be a podcast style video. With artists of any background or media presenting their work while having a discussion of what it might represent! Anyway, regardless of what I like I believe in exploring as many avenues as it takes to finally get something that best compliments you. So I wouldn’t hold back whatever makes you want to keep making art and KZfaq that’s what you should do.

@@garrisonsheffield9583 thanks for the feedback! Really appreciate it :) I agree, longer form conversations about the meaning and story behind the artwork would be really cool to do. I'll definitely try to include this type of content in the next iteration of the show :)

First I would like to say that I truthfully enjoyed the series. It was a new fresh fun idea from you. A lot of work went into the introduction and it was super crafty, great work! In the middle of the series I became quite busy and couldn’t find myself participating as much as I would of liked. I would like to see these videos often with possibly a new crafty introduction 😁. I enjoyed the challenges that you had as well as the featured artists. Both are great ideas and switching it up each episode is certainly a great way to capture engagement. I think during each episode a quick tutorial on current challenge/and or the feature artist doing a tutorial (no more than a two minute) I think it may help with intimidation to participating in a challenge. Social platforms seem to be working great. By the way do you use Patreon? I cannot say I dislike anything about the episodes. I am super excited that you will have a second series. One question: is it possible to do different surprises for the participating artists? I think this was a great video also. Thanks for asking our opinions, and thank you for the series. Happy to share.

Hi CeCe, thanks for the feedback! :) Perhaps a new intro animation is needed after a certain amount of episodes, just like a real television show? A quick tutorial for the challenges is sort of what I do at the end - maybe I'll have to be more tutorially with my approach haha I had Patreon for a little while but I didn't receive any pledges so I shut it down. I'm not sure if I'll open it again one day or keep it closed. Ah, like special prizes each time? I could if I can get a sponsor! Thanks again for the support CeCe :)

I love the series. It challenges me to draw and come up with different ideas for theme. I would love to see more feature artists and have themes base of their style.

Hmm I participated in this challenge but I don't see it here. Ahh well, I had lots of fun doing it and that's what matters XD As far as feedback, I really liked this show. The one thing I would like more of is social media platforms to participate on. I don't use Instagram (I have one post and it was because of this lol) and I don't have a Redbubble. I do have Facebook, Google+, and Tumblr though. Other than that, I really loved all the challenges, the artist interviews, seeing your challenge entries, the animation, and-- most of all-- your humorous additions to the shows (like you flopping down on the swing thing this video XD). I have a soft spot for silliness lol

Sorry! I created the episode on Thursday afternoon and uploaded it until it was ready for Friday. So unfortunately it misses some entries finished later in the week. When the next season comes out, I'll include your art in the first episode :) Awesome - I'll most likely include submissions on Facebook in the future since I also upload the videos there too. Haha glad you like my silliness! I'll keep that an element of it too :) Thanks for your feedback!

As for my art stuff, I am teaching myself paracord knotting and polymer clay bead making. Still doing more arty stuff. Found a small niche I could fill in the crafting community for making acrylic keychain designs. So my Etsy store has started to hold its own. Is your business online? Would love to check it out.

@@MixdJuxt Congrats! Very happy for you! That's really awesome, the paracord niche is really thriving from memory. How long have you had your Etsy store? My store is live but I'm really keeping it a secret for now. Once I start bringing in a little more success the plan is to talk about it on my channel one day :)

@@AShowAboutArt I've had my Etsy since 2010. Oh wow, guess I missed my 10 year anniversary, hahaha but 11 is my lucky number. It's only really taken off (meaning regular sales), last year. I found a niche making goth keychain SVG designs that match the shapes an acrylic company makes, with permission. So a portion of their customers find me. It supports my art supplies habit. Which consists of a lot of glitter lately. Bought from the same company. Lols. Making money from art just makes me spend money on making art. Eventually I want to set up my own website. Let me know when you announce your store. I'll share it and support you. What sort of wares will you be selling?
