Love what the local farmers said about living in the country. We live in the country and I hear the complaints from those that have recently moved to country for the quiet on their little spot of land. They also complain that farmers start early in the morning and noises they make. They complain about what is done with the land. I have the same feeling. Don't live in the country and complain about the farmers.

What a lovely, quiet video. I think more people should try regularly experiencing this kind of environment in their homes. I’ve noticed over the last 20 years or so that peace and quiet are such rare things in most people’s daily lives. There are so many negative, unhealthy repercussions that come out of not prioritizing quiet times. Also, thanks to your mention of Peter Mayle’s lovely little bread book, I have pulled my copy off the shelf and am re-reading it. Hope you and yours have a happy start to February. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your renovation work…

I laughed at your style icon comment because i look the same way at home! I always wear socks and will slip on any old pair of shoes. I have read and enjoyed most of Peter Mayle's books. I was sad when he passed. He was a gifted writer. The night sky is beautiful. So peaceful.

Sweet Tigrette seems to have the marks from runny eyes... very common - it's easily fixed. Just bathe the spot below each eye with cold tea.. it clears up very quickly, on both dogs and cats ( I've had seventeen rescued dogs and one cat. in a long life of 85 years !..) Tigrette is delicious...

Your cat cracked me up how she was descending the tree. When I have a bird strike at my house it's so upsetting. Rarely do they survive them even if they fly away initially. There are many simple and low cost ways to try and minimize them. Most national birding associations have tips.

So comforting to watch. Tigrette is really living the good life, the scene with you two snuggling by the fire was so precious. I really miss seeing all the stars so the ending was perfect!

Well this video is really different...no music, no special dishes, no brocante....oh right, the doc said to take it easy for a while...ok, well I hope you feel better soon & I have to say I really like how your cat knows which doors lead to where, and the skill she has coming down from the top of trees & how she knows when you're not feeling too well....

What a lovely, relaxing and peaceful video! Your cat is so funny and sweet. I wish our cats could be outside adventuring. However, we have a busy road and bald eagles that can unfortunately make off with our sweet kitties. I wonder if the bawling cows have been separated from their calves… it reminds me of when I grew up on a farm, and this happened… it is still the long ago sound of home for me.

What a lovely and relaxing video! The stars in the footage at the end were incredible- I can only imagine how much more spectacular they were in person. I love that your sweet heart felt compelled to look for the bird that flew into your window ❤. I think it’s a good sign that it flew away. Best of all, I love watching Tigrette living her best life in the French countryside- what a great life she has!

Very lovely home, and relax moments. Very much what we are also creating in the Portuguese countryside h scape from the city). It’s been a on going project, and we find ourselves working more than relaxing. Nice to see so much in common. Enjoy your week!

Cows make a lot of ruckus when they are separated from their older claves. The calves also get in on the noise.

Lovely video. By the way, if a bird hits a window and doesn’t move if you dip their beaks in a bit of water it will sometimes revive them. Try to get them to perch on a branch eventually they will fly away❤

A beautiful video! So calm and relaxing and I love to watch Tigrette…she reminds me so much of my cat and all the fun he would have if he could be outside, but we live in a very busy area with alot of cars. But the same personality …independent yet loving, and curious. We have had birds fly into our big window because I would throw seeds on the grass but I throw seeds in the back now and they don’t fly into any windows. I think because of the light exposure facing south before instead of north they didn’t see the window. Thank you so much for the video. Sending love from NJ. ❤

Thanks! We had many birds fly into our windows in the Netherlands but not here. It looked so awkward, almost as if it was already disoriented or dizzy when it approached the window.

Guess what we’re having for lunch? My girlfriend and her 99 year old mother are coming for Spinach and Cheese Waffles. l have made some Date and orange scones to follow… l will send you the recipe, if you like the sound of them? No sugar, just orange juice for sweetness!

I mix a little cocoa (nesquick, like the type of cocoa sugar mix you use to make a quick hot chocolate) with coffee and add frothed oat milk.

Thank you for being here! We speak Dutch when it’s just the four of us. But we all do speak English quite a lot with friends, for work, our boys watch KZfaq in English and interact with other gamers online in English and we have American family. We also speak French at home when there are French friends. So basically we mostly speak Dutch but really speak all three languages at home almost daily.

Several times over the years birds have hit their heads flying fast into my windows. Sometimes they are unconscious for a few minutes before flying away. Only once was a bird hit so hard that it died.

Zomooi om te zien dat het bij jullie nog echt donker is, hier in Apeldoorn zijn weinig sterren te zien. vroeger was ik graag in Frankrijk nu ik visueel beperkt ben gaat dat niet meer ik kan die einden niet meer rijden en dat mis ik wel. ik vind jullie avonturen en bouwactiviteiten bijzonder leuk om te volgen , jij Marlous bezoekt leuke franse plaatsjes en brocanterieen . scc6 en tot vrijdag gr klaas uit Apeldoorn

Coffee with a little cocoa (the simple Nestlé kind today!) and frothed oat milk. I love it! I usually drink it without the cocoa but sometimes chocolate cures everything 😄

Thanks! Mine is from Lidl. It was under 100 euros and I've had it for about 3 years. It's probably not the highest quality but it serves us really well. I only occasionally use the milk steam/frother bit, I prefer using my separate milk frother.

Het is geen kleur. Het is een natuurlijke stuc op basis van water, zand en kalk. De kleur is het resultaat van de kleur van het zand dat je gebruikt.
