This is my hometown, what I love about it is the history behind the town.

Beautifully done video with well matched soothing and uplifting sound track. The effect is artistic. The narration brings all of it to life. Even in small places like this Chris is thorough. By all means see the Quad City series and experience the economic contrast between Illinois and Iowa. It is mind blowing!

Greenville is known for its classic car show every year. Celebrities have appeared at the shows and enjoyed them, even coming back to see the shows. Bass Mollet Publishers is also in Greenville and is known across the United States for their funeral supplies and printing. Our University is well known also. It is a sports town...football,baseball,basketball and golf. Parades honor our sports teams both high school and college . We have had bands such as head east come and play our summer festivals among others and the entire town attends with beer and food..a good time had by all! Our airport also has a festival with plane rides around greenville...fun for all. The American Farm Heritage Museum has a swap meet in the spring also with a festival. Train rides are available around the heritage grounds. Once a year there is a festival even for Greenville pets called Paws in the Park where residents honor their pets in the park. For a small town there is plenty of celebrating. We also have a fine antique shop that attracts out of towners Come visit our small town of Greenville you will be glad you did.

I grew up here. My first moments in life. I miss Greenville. We left in 1987 because my parents couldn't find work.

Love Greenville. My grandma worked for Demoulin's back in the 60's when they made the capes for the University of California marching band for the tournament of roses parade.

I grew up just north of Greenville in the country then moved to the outskirts of coffeen. My wife grew up in coffeen as well a town of 750 people but we didn't ever know one in to one anther till we were in our 20s... in 2017 after the hillsboro mine caught on fire we moved down by Harrisburg I lived in that area from 2017 till 2021 then moved out west... these videos u made kinda hit my heart. I have love for this place and still have family in bond and Montgomery County but it's just a reminder why I moved. Thanks for the vids.

One thing to add is that the De Moulin Museum is more focused on Masonic Lodge hazing devices as well as marching band gear. The owner is a person friend of our band. We love Greenville and it is definitely worth a visit.

I can imagine why the Mount Vernon guy is so upset. You are harsh as hell on Illinois. It's not all gloom and doom from somebody who lives here. The doom sayers of course defecate all over our great state. We have our issues but go across the border and it's worse in any direction you go. Illinois is strong and I am proud of the state despite its struggles it still rises every time to lead the Midwest.
