Fun fact: Melee Ken’s name on Smashboards was “SephirothKen.” Ult Ken won BOBC4 with Sephiroth.

for overseas: in KEN's livestreaming after this tournament, he mentioned that tactical sd. at that time, he was 78.8% so he tried to got loupe damage and got wing. he missed, though

What happened to the interviews with the tournament champions? They only released the one from Genesis 8 and from there it seems to me that there has been no more, it has been a long time since there have been multiple champions in different tournaments: Spargo, Light, Glutonny, Ken, etc and we have missed out on great interviews. It's excellent content, and I hope they don't abandon it.

I've been so happy as a KEN fan ngl, both his sonic and sephiroth are so good. Although the one thing that I kinda was sad about was the fact that KEN battled japanese players only in top 8 (Shuton, Tea, Tea again). Still happy for this win though, big stuff.

Ouch?! had an absolutely crazy run, and perhaps the most impressive offline losers run this year, but maister’s 19 set win from losers at a 1000+ person tournament was FOR SURE the most impressive losers run overall, even if it was online

BOBC4 was super hype despite the whack as hell ruleset. Probably my second favorite top 8 this year behind Ult Summit 4. Also, I really hope BOBC4 dispelled the myth that FD is the most neutral stage in the game. It doesn’t even make sense considering hazardless PS2 is legal for Ult

If Blanc, Tilde, or Larry Lurr replaced Shuton in Top 8 it would’ve been even better imo(cool to see spacies, particularly Larry). I like Shuton’s Olimar, but Pyra/Mythra is just cringe

Seph been doing better than he ever has before recently Tweek at Momocon Ned at Combo Breaker and Ken at the Japan major held in Canada for some reason 😏 (Fr tho great stuff to players like Ken,Tea from Japan Players like Ouch and Riddles in Canada and Gluto and Sisqui from France and more) Edit: Meant to say EU not France b/c Sisqui doesn’t apply under the banner of players from France. My bad.

A Sephiroth finally won a major, beating big-name players in the process. It's a different player from who we usually see in Ult, but it's an experienced one from the past. Pretty cool. I hope newer players using different characters become top, tho.

Riddles has also said that Ouch is 2nd best in Canada no contest. Tell me why 2nd best in Canada would be impossible to place 50th? That's not even far-fetched. SSBU isn't that big competitively, Elite Smashers, yeah tons but it has a pretty small offline scene., you probably recognize most people who are decent yourself.

I love KEN's Seph, and yeah, Sonic is cringe but I'm not too upset about KEN's Sonic because at least from the games I watch of him, his Sonic doesn't play very campy compared to certain sets with Sonix. I enjoy watching aggressive Sonic gameplay.
