Postal Management are not properly training their new personals the fundamental ways of the job. Instead, they are being trained to do shortcuts instead of being taught standard operations in there postions..

Management treats their Employees (Letter Carriers) like shit lol. That’s why. As a carrier myself i am super happy and don’t care. Others let management get to them although i will say that management gets away with lots of things that could get them fired.

They should have just made an llv gen 2. Same size but modern interior with AC, updated engine, and body redesign for a more updated look. They could also cut down on costs by buying cheaper electronics and trims/materials because quality doesn't matter that much for mail vans.

I hope they make a lite version. That thing is huge. I don't need all of that space. my route is not heavy. like a llv and ffv. I'll take the mini version that's too big. it won't be worth all the fixing it will require

Also, there is enough overhead clearance for drivers to stand, which is important health-wise as sitting for long periods of time can become problematic

As a CCA in my city I just don’t see these big ass things being easy to drive on narrow streets especially a mounted route having to turn it around .. I can see a dismount but shit this mf look like a 2 ton compared to a LLV just give me a LLV with a good alignment , adjustable steering rack , a slightly higher seat then the LLV would be perfect .. it’s like driving a cutlass with no AC in the summer and we all done drove a old school with no ac before at least once

It just does suck in a way they're going to electric and going to replace most of the original/old vehicles. I believe the rural small areas won't have them because of the electric charging stations but not sure yet on that one but everything is changing every month, every year

And the rural small country towns won’t get to see them ever.. a lot of rural carriers have to use and covert their one vehicles in order to get the job. That means you aren’t going to be given a vehicle at all. You have to either straddle the seat (if it’s old enough and there’s no center area blocked off) OR install extra peddles and use a contraption to reach the freakin steering wheel. I am currently in the hiring process and will have to use my one and only car. Looking into the peddles and the contraption. My car is from the early 2000s BUT I’m a short small lady and the center of my car has my shifter cup holders and parking break in my way. I can’t safely do this. Luckily my post master told me USPS will cover up to $1k for my car to be spruced up so I can drive on the right side. I’m worried as this is my only car how much damage and wear and tear this may have on it but I don’t have thousands to buy a car for my new job. I don’t want to commit to that yet either. So far things are OK but I’m worried if the job doesn’t work out.. I don’t wanna spend all my money on it right away. This is what your mailman or mailwoman had to think about and set up in small towns. They don’t tell you that before you’re hired. They say you need a car but I assumed it was so I could make it to work. So I’m stressed. I wish we could have the nice fancy new things but likely won’t even see them for the next 30 years if ever.

That's actually because Congress mandated the USPS fund retirement for 75 years in advance. That was before 45's miscarriage of a Post Master General got ahold of the reins.
