There used to be a web site called "Lesbian or German lady," and someone had taken photos of random women in Manhattan, and you had to guess whether the woman was a German tourist or an American lesbian. Of course there was always the possibility that it was a lesbian German tourist. There was a companion site called "Gay or Eurotrash," with photos of men in Manhattan, and one had to guess whether the man was a European tourist or an American gay man. No absolutely definitive answers were ever given, as it was all speculative, on the part of the photographers.

@@ariekleber209 a lavender marriage was a term coined in old Hollywood, but the act itself can be seen all throughout it history. It was when a gay man would marry a woman to hide the fact that he was gay to save face. In some situations, the woman would know, either because she was also a lesbian or a friend, and sometimes she wouldn’t(both situations meant that there was most probably infidelity by both parties). This also happened with lesbians throughout history as well, who would marry men who they knew would cheat if they didn’t reciprocate all the way or men they suspected would die(like those who were drafted into military service). This way, they could be a widow and secretly pursue their “close female companions” without questioning.

I'd dressed in fitted clothes, messy hair, boy makeup, and most of the hallmarks of emo boy style for years, before it became a thing. It beat the Hell out of wearing super baggy clothes, and flannel, like 95% of the boys at my school. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

No no no. The iceberg did not sink the Titanic. The iceberg was the innocent victim, attacked out of the blue by the Titanic. As the iceberg pointed out, those people didn’t die from viciously colliding with him. They DROWNED. Blame the water, not the viciously assaulted and injured iceberg.
