@@elenasweden9184 you are advantaged to own 16 horses and be able to afford to board, feed and have a farrier monthly. You probably own a vehicle and horse trailer, a traveling vet etc. These donkeys are work animals they pack all of the goods to and from the farms these people work, because they don’t have vehicles, or trailers. These animals and their owners worked 7 days a week on farms, with fisherman, anyway they can help. No one there is complaining about how hard they’re working it’s a way of life. The vet, if there is one close enough, costs money, as does the farrier in town. This is money the people don’t have. They are living off the land. They feed the family and work animals if it’s a good year. Please think about that.

@@jwall6006 I qm a vet and farrier, the horses I have are abused and abandoned. I do some work for free for homeless/ poor people who CARE for their animals properly. So stop making poor excuses. "Buhuu theyre poor so they're allowed to abuse animals". The reason they are poor is because they dont have morals and are.. Plain stupid and dont care about anything than thenselves. You see.. If you dont trim the donkey/ horses hoofs and keep them in an overall good shape (which is free and doesnt require a vet) you will not have a donkey/ horse anymore. Then you lost one animal because of your own stupidity. Its free to love and care for your animal.

There are no laws against cruelty to creatures in China and maybe the other Asian countries! God has created these creatures but MAN chooses how they will care for them! Many suffer and finally find relief when they are finally taken to the farrier to have their hooves trimmed and taken care of!

there is no relief for these donkeys. The interior of the hoof is severely damaged. Often the coffin bone within is reaching the floor of the foot. Extremely painful. This practice is disgraceful.

I must say that this situation really pisses me off. 1) That poor mule was old and he was in such pain. 3) the owner says it's his donkey that he just bought, right😒😏 *4) I put a star here because I got really really angry that the owner started to whip the mule as if the mule wasn't walking fast enough. Excuse me... but the old mule was in such pain that you sir probly caused. Honestly, why can't people just do right by the animals? If you expect for the animal to work for you then do the right thing and help animals in need before they reach this stage. Get it together😒🙄😡🤬😤

That and the yelling at the donkey when it fidgets the least bit due to the discomfort and pain. A person with compassion would try to calm and comfort the creature. It's hard watching these, only do so to see some relief for the animals.

I have many horses. I trim and shoe them (myself) about once every second month. And thats a hobby to me. One would think a person should be able to take care of a few animals properly especially if their life depends on it (lifestock). But no..... Some people really have low intelligence.

Doesn't have anything to do with intelligence....it has everything to do with morals...it doesn't take a bright motherfucker to know that if your life depends on this animal then its welfare should be at the top of your priority and people have been lookin after animals for thousands of years, but on the other hand if you lack any morals then cruelty and lack of gratitude for what that animal provides mean nothing...personally I think everyone in this video deserves to be horse whipped to within an inch of their life and all their animals taken from them

The treatment of these animals is absolutely a crime. To allow the hooves to get to this condition is heartless and heartbreaking. Then to treat them as they do to get them to move is also a crime. The so called professional farrier is in need of intense training. First, the hooves have so deformed the animals’ bones, joints and ligature is a very long process and should be done slowly by trimming the hoofs in specific stages to allow the animal to adjust to the changes and must be done by someone who knows what they are doing. This whole process was a study of what not to do and in the U.S. would be film for a court case for both the owner and the person doing the trimming. Sad, sad treatment of the poor animals.

I agree with you, but the problem must be contextualized, these poor Donkeys, in China would have no other treatment, things go in this direction. The older generations do not change, hopefully in the new ones.

It's not only in the East, I have seen here on KZfaq a video where a female farrier (in the US) isn't any better when trimming horses. I get it, not the same species the point is that bad farriers are not exclusive to one country. I would also concur that we need to provide some context. These areas might not be common cases, just like in other trimmings we only see the extreme cases and not the norm. These same areas might also be poorer and not have the resources for more proper equipment; they do their best with what they have at hand.

These actually are the proper tools. In the West, we generally use nippers and knives. This isn't better or worse. It's just different.

It's good to show not only the triming of hooves but how the feet of the animals returning to the normal and proper position since others were already deformed due to the long hooves. So it needs monitoring until the next schedule of triming. Had it done better to the animal or not.

These animals must suffer greatly from the lack of care and then from the sudden change, their muscles and legs must be in a lot of pain- the trims, though care, causing immense pain as well as the sudden use of muscles in different ways. Then that these " care givers" use whips and impatience is a sign of little understanding of the state of these animals. As far as the animal is concerned it is still probably a hell.

Aqui no Brasil tem um canal chamado "Porteira Aberta" que fez uma estrutura metálica para enjaular e prender o animal e fazer o tratamento e cura do casco. Vejo muitos vídeos de vocês e acho muito interessante

Esses animais é usado pelos trabalhadores rurais chineses, depois de ser maltratado até não aguentar mais, eles vêm ao mercado e troca por outro. É uma extrema crueldade que eles fazem nesses mercados de animais. Existe muitos canais aqui no youtube da chine divulgando isso, deveria ser proibido esses canais. Estão achando que estão fazendo bem más não tão.

Me parece muy bien que le corten y arreglen los cascos y las pezuñas... es una labor muy fuerte y peligrosa para el maestro pero hace un buen trabajo. Pero no me gusta que le den con el latigo a los animales de reprente puede ser otro método.
