Who doesn’t wish Erwin was their friend? I could listen to him for hours. I feel like I share a lot of his traits. I am always questioning. I am also passionate about what he talks about. It’s rare that I see myself in others but I see myself in him. It’s so nice 😊

This statement is recurring in all these motivational topics, question is, what is it that a person needs to sacrifice in order to become that which is desired as opposed to the person who they are, assuming that success is the manifestation of certain achievements, could it not be that not aspiring to anything other than a peaceful existence requires no self sacrifice

Man, talking about the outburst of rage and all that powerlessness stings. That is me right there. Get pissed super easily, always irritated, screaming and swearing and always ready to fight. Truth be told that isn't who I really am at my core unfortunately. Smh Lewis, you're so soft spoken, attentive and your voice is so soothing. I listen to your podcast while I work and I'm so drawn in by the content yes but more so how soothing your voice is.

THIS! I've been catching up on all of your interviews over the last few months...but THIS one stopped me in my tracks. I've heard of Erwin McManus' name before, but that was as far as it went. I'm eager to now check him out based on his approach AND well wrestled-out thoughts. People, especially Christians, shy away from using the name of Jesus & go into a blanket statement of God-Universe-Consciousness, so I appreciate how specific he is. It's refreshing. I love that you took the opportunity to be so well-rounded in all of the topics you interview on. I'll be checking out Erwin's new book & looking forward to more of your interviews!

Our desires, are the biggest test to our life. This world isn’t designed for man to have ultimate happiness the more you seek it the more you fall into a pit. Yes you will have your highs and lows, death is designed to take man away form this world and into the relm of the unseen. Mr Mc Manus has so much good things to say. But he said that hope is lost if you get what you want, l think it is reinforced. It makes you believe more in hope, that you have the ability to reset it on something else. And hope gets stronger as to does your believe. I mean no disrespect.
