After getting Navi fixed up and ready to hit the road again, I almost had a unexpected guest heading to Florida with the bus. A squirrel was in my engine bay and might be the main reason by I have had some chewed wires. Buslife is never boring.

Moth balls keep squirrels out. Irish Spring soap supposedly works but I haven’t tried it

Oh how I wish our fuel was $5.21 a gallon... at the moment our fuel is $7.65 a gallon and only because it has just gone down... Love seeing Navi being used again... been a while... Cheers for sharing Mike...

Since there are several people that use this bus, it might be a good Idea to laminate a little diagram showing the proper valve settings for the water pump.

I could not imagine spending $500 just to fill up!😳That’s crazy. But at least you get a lot of miles out of it.🤷🏽‍♀️You can go clear to the middle of the U.S with 1,000 miles.

I do like your videos we have a camp on the Great Sacandaga. This comment probably doesn't fit for this video, but Dale's roof deck. I too, don't see the point of a roof deck. They are small and you can put so many more chairs on the ground around the fire pit or whatever.

I let this bus sit too long without giving it some attention. I hope to upgrade the electrical system this year. The solar batteries are pretty dead.

What engine and transmission combo would you recommend for a big bus? You are living the dream!

My bus has the MBE 900 with the Allison 2000. I have loved my set up and not had to many issues with it.

I had the same wiring problem, my varmints were mice up under the dash.

There are some new very low wattage bright120Vac LED lights.....with a smart energy saving wall wart.. light off.. no ac current.

I find is that the inverter will still need to run in order to converter to 120v. My inverter right now draws about 50w constant.

My local transfer station has a section for electronics and metal. If they are copper wire or aluminum I keep them in a bin to take to a scrap yard and sell.

You should get a live trap for that squirrel before it finds something else to chew on, those guys have ruined quite a bunch of solar panel 🐿

@@navigationnowhere i've been waiting for the dealership to get a catalytic converter for my company car (it went bad not stolen) they said 2 weeks it's going on 11 weeks, crazy delays. I work for an electrical contractor and diesel generators are taking 6 months to a year to get, natural gas is readily available.

I wish I knew where this foam came from. It was one that has been around the house for awhile and I decided it was time to use it. I need to find a good one for Ivan so I’ll post that when I do.

@@navigationnowhere I have made many seat cushions and sleeping bed cushions over the years as a vaner. TWO inches of foam on plywood wrapped in fabric is perfect for sitting and sleeping without bottoming out to the wood when sitting or sleeping on it. But you need to use the right foam. It’s the heaviest density foam that one can order, it works great. Be careful people will sell you the heaviest density foam that they have in stock , but it will not be the foam that I’m talking about, in every situation that I’ve purchased it, I had to have it special ordered. If the foam is too soft, it’s not really good for sitting or sleeping..

From opening up the dash a little later they seem to have loved my front LED lights as well. Luckily I don’t think I’ll need off roading lights much this trip.
